Grand Glauser Gathering

We were elated to find out that Jenny's wedding was the same week as Jake's parent's mission farewell talk.  They leave for St. Petersburg, Russia in a few weeks.  We were able to attend their ward and hear them both speak about the gospel, their desire to serve the Lord, family history work, blessings of eternal families, and their testimonies of Christ.  Kandy and my mom took the twirls in the hall (nap time) so I could stay and listen.  I'm so proud of them for choosing to serve a two year mission for the church.  I know that it will be hard but I'm grateful for the example of sacrifice and testimony that they are sharing with our family.  We are sure going to miss seeing them when we go home.  But luckily with video chatting, blogs, and email we will be able to stay in touch.  Their mission blog is private (due to the politics with Russia) so if you would like to follow their journey, please let me know and we will get you access.

After their farewell talk they had goodbye luncheon...

I was being dramatic for these two giggling girls (with Scarlett, above).  So I took out my disposable contacts (that were driving me crazy) and threw them over my shoulders onto the grass.  Then they found both of them!  They played with those for hours!  (don't worry, they didn't put them in their eyes)  Silly girls.

We gave mom & dad a Shutterfly book with a page about each person in the family.  Jam-packed with photos to remember us all by.

The Bodens are so fun!

These two were being so sweet - then I saw the mess they made!  Glad they were making memories (and now I have a memory of cleaning up the basement.  So sweet).

We went inside to cool off with the AC

Just hanging around with Grandpa.

Scarlett put on Carolyn's shoes and said "Look at my magic shoes!  They give me power!"

Can you believe they had never been to JCW's before?  Yum!

Jake's parents stopped by my folk's to say bye to the girls.  Scarlett saw them coming up the sidewalk and yelled "my Glausers are coming!"

The last night we had the opportunity to attend the temple and eat dinner with the adults.  A great way to say "see ya for a few years."
(can you believe those are my mom's shoes!)

I keep telling people we're fun but no one believes us. Thanks for spreading the word. Also JCW's now spends a great deal of time making me salivate. I went back last Monday and chances are excellent that I'll be there again tomorrow.I'll send you the quadruple bypass bill.

I think we must have shopped at the same Carter's sale. Kate has that blue and pink dress and also the blue romper with the pink bird on it from a couple posts ago. Triplers!!
