Alley Cats

One of the first nights we were in Utah we went bowling with the Seaver family.  When we were driving to the bowling alley Scarlett looked out the window at the mountains and said "whoa, that's the biggest hill I ever seen!"

Look at these tiny bowling shoes!!!

Scarlett found ways to entertain herself between frames.

Who won our mega tournament?  ME!!!  I never win at bowling.  Yes, I was the only adult to use bumpers.  Yes, one of the lanes pulled to the left.  Yes, James let Scarlett help him bowl.  Yes, yes, yes.  Despite all the variables, it was still my best game of bowling in my life!  And my wrist didn't even hurt the next day - of course I didn't use chopsticks either... just sayin... ;-)  [inside joke]

[inside joke explanation] so when I was a preteen I went to Ashley Martin's bday party.  We went to the Wilk and ate Teriyaki Stix (with chopsticks) then went to the basement to bowl.  The next day my poor little wrists were KILLING me.  I came upstairs to complain to my mom and get meds.  I told her the chopsticks must have been to strenuous for my baby wrists.  I was completely serious too.  It wasn't til after she was done laughing that she pointed out it was probably the bowling.  Oh.  Duh.  Anyways, moment of ditziness has been repeated every time someone in our family goes bowling OR uses chopsticks.  Every.  Time.

cute bowling shoes Scarlett. She's so fashionable all the time. I'm also glad she enjoyed our hills. Do you not have mountains out there?

How fun! We have a big hill here that they call a mountain and I always correct my boys - it is a hill, not a mountain!

I will think of you fondly now every time I use chopsticks. Or bowl. :-)

Love your shirt! Where'd you find it?

Not where we live. It's really flat until you go north

At Meier. Basically like a Target/Walmart type store. I love those flowy shirts. I need more!
