The twirls are wearing dresses that Jami bought Scarlett for James and Hailey's wedding (see here). She bought two dresses with the mind set that the twirls could wear them at the same time. It's funny cause when Jami bought these I thought the twirls would never fit them! They were just going to stay small forever! Siena loves the yellow ribbon, Jaide loves the greenish/teal dress, and Scarlett loves her red bead necklace and fancy print skirt!
We like to play this game: hug tickle. I give them a long tight hug until either they or I yell "tickle!" Then I tickle them! So fun!
The twirls LOVE this Elmo game on the iPad. They laugh like crazy when he plays peek-a-boo. But my favorite part is when Siena laughs she covers her mouth with her tiny little hand - ADORABLE!!!
The girls love Curious George too - Siena does the same hand laugh here too! They especially like the Halloween movie - they think it's so funny to scare people and yell Boo!
One day Scarlett asked "Mom, do grown ups cry?" It was a little reality check because I rarely cry. I mean like rarely. I'll tear up at a good youtube where someone rises to their potential. But I never really cry when I'm tired or frustrated. I don't want my girls to think that they can't cry or that there's something wrong if they do. I don't think I'll ever be able to model the behavior - I'm just a robot like that. But I need to be mindful how I react when they do cry.
Scarlett is sooooo excited to have a baby in the house. She never really played with dolls before, but now she just can't get enough of them. The funny thing is that she always takes care of ALL the dolls, not just a few. haha! She puts Octamom to shame!
These girls just love love love to dance! Especially Jaidey Lady. And yes, we clip balloons onto our backs to be "puppy tails" because, why not?
Here's an example of Jaide rocking out...
Scarlett's also been working on her potty skills, her job is now to wipe her own bum. She's a very clean little girl, so she does a good job getting all the way clean. She didn't like having to do it, but we convinced her that it was necessary for kindergarten. Well the other day I heard her yell from the bathroom "I pooped and it was gross, but I didn't give up and now I'm all clean!" haha! Glad I wasn't on the other "end" of that conversation! :-D
Siena was dancing with her shadow. And Jaide started singing this song the other day... (I think I've figured out that "stinky bug" is how she says "jingle bells" but I'm not really sure. She also calls lady bugs "stinky bugs" sometimes). This little tune got stuck in all our heads for several days.
We had a balloon rebel. Needless to say, we were anxiously awaiting Jake's arrival. Luckily it happened to drift over to the stairs and I was able to grab it minutes before Jake got home. I guess that's good, cause his ideas involved his quad copter and I could see that being bad for the chandelier, or the balloon! haha!
Jaide the pirate and Siena the bank robber.
Jake was watching the twirls play with a balloon. He took this video cause they were being so cute to each other by saying "good catch"!
These little puppies take each other on walks and live in a "doggie house" together.
And sometimes they make up games on the slide. I love when they make up these games that cause them to laugh so hard!
Siena is all about telling us when things are huge by calling them "bignormous!"
Siena the firegirl and Jaide stashing her toy car in her diaper pouch.
Siena loves to keep her treasures in her backpack. I made her take out all the contents and show the camera so you could see what's in there. One of the items made me laugh so hard!
The girls love to give each other horsey rides. Siena can give Scarlett one for a minute (if she doesn't move), but the twirls usually team up and give her a ride together.
I was brave and took all the girls to Target to get some stuff. They ate their Icees and I booked it through the store - it was a race to get all my items before they were done with their treat. Also, I'm grateful that the Icee people came up with the cherry flavor that's just white without any food coloring. Great idea!
Random story: all winter long we've been finding dead ladybugs on our window sill inside our bathroom. After reading a few articles, I found out that they hibernate in the winter and they like light color siding and west facing sun - like our window. Well during their hibernation they can dry out and dye - I think that's when they fall on our sill. The weird part is I cannot find out how they are getting in our home or where they are coming from. Now that spring is here(ish) we're finding live lady bugs in our bathroom!?! Crazy little stink dirts!

These girls have grown up so much in the last 2 years. Their speech is getting better and better. And I can't believe how long their hair is. Scarlett seems so grown up to me; she is definitely ready for school. (I guarantee you will cry on that day.).
