Easter Sickies

The Saturday morning before Easter we woke up early to make it to the Ward Easter party.  The girls all came in our room and the twirls climbed in our bed and just fell asleep next to us.  That NEVER happens!  Jake went and got their CM (chocolate milk) and they drank it.  Then Jaide just threw up all over our bed.  I took her into the bathroom, stripped her down, and put her in the shower.  Then I heard Siena throwing up all over our carpet.  In the shower she went too.  Poor things!  They take that whole "identical" thing too seriously sometimes.

Lots of laying around for these sick girls.  Luckily there was no more vomit (thank you Benadryl and your anti-nausea properties!) and Scarlett didn't catch the tummy bug.  And in case you are wondering we had to borrow a friend's carpet cleaner and wash EVERYTHING twice - with white vinegar - to get that nasty CM vomit smell out.  I'm convinced that I can still smell it on our floor.  I think we'll have to pay to have someone come get it out.

We tried doing a little Easter egg hunt that day, but the twirls just ran away.  Too sick to have fun, I guess.  Sis Lowder stopped by with a little goodie bag for each girl since they missed the ward party.  We love her!!!

The next day Jake had to pray in Sacrament meeting.  So he took Scarlett and went to church.  Then during Sunday school he came home and switched me so I could teach YW's third hour (see next post for my lesson idea).  I thought this dress was appropriate since it makes my belly look like an Easter Egg.

After church we took the girls outside to try hunting eggs again.  The twirls were much happier and we had a great time.

Then fun with bubbles!

In this video you can hear the twirls singing "rain rain go away", that song has been a favorite of theirs (especially Siena) for the past month:

We decided to color eggs that week.  Last year the girls weren't too impressed with the egg dye - not much for them to actually do.  So we just got out our paints and glitter glue and let the girls decorate them.  The paint came off when I peeled them, but they were done with the eggs by then anyways.

Poor babies!! No fun when they're sick.

And why does CM vomit smell so bad????? Ugh. It lingers.
