When I became a mother, I expected to feel like: a chef, a nurse, a chauffeur, a maid, a milk cow, a therapist, a janitor, a mediator, an entertainer, a teacher, a coach, a cheerleader, a hair stylist, a personal shopper, a toy mechanic, and the list goes on.........
When thing I didn't expect to feel like was: a piece of furniture. It doesn't matter what I'm doing, ALL my girls want to sit/hang on me - usually at the same time.
I woke up one morning and Scarlett was sleeping curled up on my legs. My little puppy...

So cute. My boy say on my lap last night for the first time in years. It was painful! Enjoy the cuddles and the excuse to sit down while you can.
Hahaha! It is so true. When we lived in an apartment with two little kids (and you remember our place in Ann Arbor....it was packed full of stuff!) I was sooooooo desperate to have a bigger place so that I could have some space. When we bought our house, I realized that we could fit in a refrigerator box - they only want to be where I am, so any place where I am not is just wasted space. That part changes....in a few years you'll realize, sort of out of the blue, that they pile on you less. And I'm pretty sure in a few years I'll realize they don't really do it much at all anymore.
Yep, treasure those cuddles while you can. I still let my kids lay across my lap during church, but that's about the only time I get to be their furniture anymore.
