2015 Mustang... in our driveway!!!

I've said this before, but it's still true: this has been a fun rotation for Jake!  I hope these memories are enough to help him through his next (less than stellar) rotation...

He's brought home a 2015 Mustang a few times now.  They won't be released for sale til later this year.  But nothing gets past Scarlett.  Jake drove in the driveway and she asked "you have a black race car today, dad?"  She was so excited that he let her sit in it!

She wanted to sit in the back seat, "like a big grill."

She spotted a mustang on the floor (there is a little light under the side mirrors that projects the image on the ground.... how cool!!!)

The mustang image on the ground is so cool! I'd never get anywhere....my kids would be forever looking at it. How fun for Scarlett to see all the cool cars Jake gets to bring home!

I don't understand why you would spend your perfectly good money on a mustang when you get to bring things like this home for free. And, for the record, the mustang projected on the floor is the coolest thing ever!

I think it's funny that we all agree that the greatest thing about this car is the mustang light on the ground. "Sure, it has a fuel-efficient engine so you don't burn through all your gasoline when flying down the highway...but did you see that horse silhouette on the ground?!"

Since little upgrades grab attention so well, I'm going to pass along one that I've been mulling over for a few months. What if cars had a variety of horn beeps? I'm not talking about La Cucaracha added after the fact. Rather, two or three horn buttons on the steering wheel, and drivers press the button appropriate to the situation. For example, what if there were a short, high-pitched, friendly horn button that you honk when passing someone you recognize? And another when you're behind an old lady who hasn't realized the light turned green--sort of an "Ahem, let's pay attention" beep. And then there would be the bleep beep used for someone who cuts you off. The car could even yell, "What the BLEEP?!" Seriously, Ford could add these horn sounds to the list of options and buyers could choose three from a predetermined (and legal) list, and have them uploaded in their new horn system.
