Babies, Get in the Cage

SCARLETT

...While Jake was changing Scarlett's diaper (cause she won't go #2 in the potty), she excitedly told him: "Dad, poop matches your brown hair!"
...turns into a puppy when she's tired or shy
...likes to get herself dressed, sometimes with 8 pairs of socks at the same time:

...calls a hair bun her "princess hair"
...is trying to teach the babies to shake, like puppies
...saw a picture of a guy with a long beard and said "that's Jesus Glauser"
...loves to turn cardboard boxes into "rocket ships"
...told me "Chocolate milk is my life"
..."Kaden and Kaleb are coming over today. I want to show them my panties!"
...asked for ten kisses. After 7 said, "That's enough"
...like to do her "exercises"
...calls laffy taffy "taxi cab"
...loves new adventures, but only when she feels safe.  This picture she was so worried cause I wasn't holding on to her:
...says this all the time: "yooohoo hi family" (start video at 1:38)...
...is really good at playing with her sisters (most of the time). This is just a random video showing the types of games she invents to play with them...
...Scarlett barged in the bathroom while I was going potty (unexpected and uninvited) and noticed I was on my period.  She was quite concerned, so I tried to explain it as best I could (something about an evil menstruating monster that comes once a month to take away all your joy and eat all your chocolate.....ok not really, but maybe I'll save that for the twirls!)  I thought we were doing well and moved past that "incident" but for the next few days she would randomly mutter to herself: "Mommy ate lots of strawberries and it made her have red peepee."

TWIRLS

...love to cuddle with me, especially if I'm already holding someone
...love to cuddle stuffed animals...

...will put toys in my hands
...wave and do ET phone home...
...Siena loves to play peek-a-boo....
...Jaide loves to share her food or water with everyone...
...Siena loves to eat. Jaide is more picky.  I have a real problem.  I am always trying to be fair - to the point that I make sure they each get the same amount of goldfish crackers.  Ugh.  I'm working on it.
...Siena likes to play fetch and roll a ball back and forth
...Jaide likes to read stories
...Jaide had 4 bruises on her right forehead last week - all from different altercations
...will crawl to me when I call them, they dive the last foot or so into my lap
...give open-mouth kisses
...have graduated from the bath laundry basket.  There is a non-slip mat in tub, but if they sit with their backs along the wall their bumps aren't on the mat.  Then the lift their legs and they will slowly start sliding toward the drain.  haha!
...have a creepy toy that after no one touches it for a few minutes it will say "do you see me? I see you"
...love their dream lights! Always have them on when I come in their room (we upgraded them to the bigger models)
...I had to change Siena's diaper in the middle if the night. I turned her pillow pet on and used it's light to change her. The light started to go crazy - rapidly cycling through the colors.  I turned around and saw a little tiny arm sticking through the slats into Siena's crib and a tiny little pointer finger pressing the little button over and over!  Love their little pointer fingers!
...Proof that dad's do it different

The fun of having kids grow up, in Etna we had a bathroom with a door in each end( was built in the hall) and you soon learned what door locks are for, Hang in there it gets more interesting. Love Grandma

"Chocolate milk is my life" hahaha! Just wait till you're all grown up and no one can tell you how much chocolate cake to have, Scarlett. Also, I am removing strawberries from my diet. I can't wait to feel the results!

Love love love it all! I love these glimpses into what life is like for you and them right now. And, when I go back and read old blog posts from when my boys were little, these are the ones that make me smile the most. :-) So keep posting them!

I especially love the pic of Jake carrying a twirl by her jammies. For awhile I had such horrible back pain that I couldn't bend down to pick up my littlest, but I could squat a bit and grab his jammies...he was carried just like that for months. I love to see that someone else does that too!
