Backyard Bash

I have been blessed with wonderful friends in my life.  Seriously wonderful.  Some that were in my life for a short time (Krista Peery, Angela Bowes, Michelle House) and some besties that have been and will be with me forever (Courtney Fjeldsted).  Luckily with social media I can keep tabs on my old friends (though Snort fits into the 'sister from another mister' category).

My current ward is no exception.  This group of wonderful girls makes living away from family bearable.  It's just nice to know that if I needed someone in the middle of the night, I could call any of these lovely ladies.  We met at yogurt city one night to say goodbye to a few girls who were moving away, and to welcome a few new friends.

I wanted to get to know the new girls a little better, so I threw a Backyard Bash.  I had a Sam's Club box of frozen otter pops and a bunch of water toys.  Anyone who wanted to was welcome to join us.  I was so happy that many of our friends showed up!  It was a ton of fun!!!!  I realized that it's so much easier for me to be home with the twirls (cause I have 2 of everything).  So I've been trying to invite people over more often.  Thanks to everyone that came!  And Heather and Makenzie - we missed you (but thanks for the picnic bench and water table!)

This was the first time I put the twirls in the adorable swimsuits Snort got them for their bday.  I put them on but one was suuuper tight.  They both had the same size paper Target tag attached to them but they were different sizes.  The tag stitched on the inside confirmed my suspicions.  Target Fail!!!!  Luckily Jami bought Scarlett a swimsuit that was supposedly 3T but fit the baby perfectly.  Jami bought Scarlett another swimsuit (that she's wearing) and it's a 5T.  Oh my!  I know that swimsuit shopping for me is all drama drama drama, but apparently it starts at an early age!

Way to go! I love throwing bashes and I agree, it's easier to do it at your own house, other than the cleaning requirements, but that's a good way to force cleaning, and I'm now trying to get as many commas as possible in this sentence, so I'm glad you had fun, and I'm glad the swimsuits fit, we should have sent some home with you because Meg tends to grow out of hers way faster than she grows out of everything else.
