I know what you're thinking: "man, I really wish I could look at more pictures of the twirls!" Well, don't you worry! Your wish is about to come true!!!
After making their tutus for their Two-Two party, I wanted to do a little photo shoot to capture their adorableness. I set up all my photo gear in my house and everything was perfect: the lighting was dreamy, Jake was blowing bubbles, they took a great nap, their outfits were adorable, Jami sent me necklaces and shoes that arrived the day before and matched the tulle exactly. Everything was perfect. Except one little detail. The twirls did NOT want their photos taken. Ugh! Oh how they hated my camera!
This was the closest I got to getting smiles...
Scarlett, on the other hand, loved being my little model!
In fact, when her friends were over they wanted to do a "Frozen Photo Shoot" complete with background music "Let it Go!"
Frustrated and angry that my plan wasn't going... well, according to plan, I called my mom to complain. She suggested that I put everything away and just wait til she got there. Sweet. I can do that. Once she was here we decided to take them somewhere outdoors for the pics - cause they would be too distracted to cry. Unfortunately, they were also too distracted to stop and smile! Oh well, at least we got some non-screaming photos! This one is my favorite:
This is the only photo (of like 300+) that they are both smiling at the same time:
Poor Siena was so done. I love Jaide's face too. I felt bad, when we got home we found a sliver in Siena's foot - no wonder she was so sad!!! Luckily Jake got it out without much trouble.
Right when we set them down on the trail they took off running. We had to run full-speed to get in front of them! haha!
The little gals just love rocks! They must get that from their dad...
Airplane-spotting:
Scarlett was great and helping me show the twirls what to do. Too bad they didn't want to do any of those things. Little stinkers.
More airplane-spotting (it's a fave hobby right now) and saying "hi" to the other hikers.
Siena just wanted to take her necklace off so bad! I kept putting it back on. When will they learn that beauty is pain?!?
I'm guessing this is when Siena got her sliver... :-(
Too tired to continue:
And some more airplane-spotting. In order to get them to look at me, I asked them where mommy's nose is... so Jaide kept pointing to her nose for the next few min. Not the result I wanted haha!
I'm glad we did this, but I think it will be a little while before I feel up to another twirl photo shoot. Maybe another year ;-)

I love it! I'm sorry you didn't get the pictures you wanted but these are still fun and definitely show personality...and 2-yr-olds being two!
I love these pics! Not what you planned, but they perfectly represent this stage of your life, where nothing goes as planned. :-)
