Doctor Appointments

So the twirls got Molluscum Contagiosum.  I guess it was inevitable, but I'm still grumpy about it.  I tried to ignore it for several months, but it kept spreading so I finally decided to take them in.  We've been like 4 times so far.  The beast keeps holding on.

Jaide has it the worst.  She's got a cluster on her neck and one on her forehead.  With a few random spots on her back, arm, and groin.  I feel bad that the cantharidin makes such yucky blisters.  They won't use that medicine on her face or in her diaper area, so this past time we started treating them with liquid nitrogen and I use acne medicine on her face bumps at night.

Siena just has a few spots on her side and in her diaper area.

The first time we went I asked Dede to come with me, cause it's pretty miserable for the girls.  But lately I've been coming by myself.  I'm sooo glad that my mom was in town last week cause I didn't think about the liquid nitrogen and how that would be painful and I'd have to hold them down.  I might have to bring back up every time now.  I just wish they would go away!  I asked if we needed to stop doing baths, she said that it's probably already the worst it's going to be and she doesn't see children get it more than once (usually) so I think we're on the tail end *fingers crossed* though I wouldn't be surprised if I got it again, my skin's just that cool.

The past few weeks we had annual physicals for all the girls.  They are all doing great and our doctor has "zero concerns."

I had my final LASEK exam.  My eyes are still 20/15!!!  Best investment ever!  It was nice chatting with Dr. Soong, as he was leaving he turned back around and looked at my girls, then looked at me and said "time to start trying for that boy."  haha!  I replied "have you been talking to my mom?"

I finally remembered to take my old glasses with me this time.  Bye bye forever four-eyes!

Those glasses are too cute to toss! Just pop out the lenses and wear them as an accessory.

I really hope you saved some of those glasses for dress up. They're all the rage! Be super careful about the nitrogen. Meg still has scars from everywhere we used that. It really will go away on its own...eventually. I understand not wanting to let it spread on faces, but scarring might be worse. IDK
It's surprising to me to see how much a quarter inch or .2 lbs. changes their percentile. Kids must generally have a very small range for those things.

People STILL ask me if we're trying for a girl, and our youngest is 7. Uh....no. We'll end up with, like, 11 boys that way. Plus I'm sleeping through the night now and I kinda like it!
