Scarlett LOVES leaves. On our walks she spends most of her time scouring the lawns for stray foliage to gather in her tiny arms. Her little collections decorate our back patio and have, on more than one occasion, found their way into our house. With the approaching fall season our walks are so much more exciting for her - leaves everywhere! We barely make it down the block because she's too busy collecting. Finally this week I started bringing a grocery bag for her - thinking that would maybe speed things up - I was wrong. Instead it just enabled her to gather every leaf in site. Oh my. I started trying to invent games where she has to find a yellow leaf, or red leaf. That helps things a little. I'm not sure what I'm going to do in a few weeks when all the leaves start falling!
See her little grocery bag basket on her bike? Also, you may notice the strap. I'm still trying to work out the most elegant solution for pushing the bike and the stroller. In theory this should work. But instead her bike was just veering all over the sidewalk and hitting my ankles. I think the real solution is just to make her pedal. But she just sits on her bike and collects leaves instead of progressing forward. What a goof ball!

What a darling little train of hooligans!!
Love the train. I had the same problem - you have to rig the bike up to the front of the stroller so you're pushing, not pulling. You can tell her she is a sled dog and yell "Mush!" when you want her to start pulling the stroller. Or wait a few weeks and it will be snowy and gross and you can just stay inside. :-)
I have covertly disposed of many, many leaf and rock collections. I will admit that I did enjoy the leaf collections more when there were reds and yellows and oranges. I could never see the point in collecting armfuls of brown leaves.
Can't wait to see what you come up with in a few years when Scarlett is on training wheels, the twins are on push bikes, and the next baby is in the stroller. ;o)
