While Jake was helping a family move one night Scarlett and I watched Cinderella. It was her first time seeing the movie. It was my favorite as a child (like: cry-while-it's-rewinding favorite) so I was hoping she would like it. She sat on my lap and we snuggled as we watched it together. Yep, she loves it! In fact, it's the only movie she'll watch in the car right now. She'll ask "watch bumpity doo?" (from the bibbidi bobbidi boo song). Sometimes when I look back at her she'll be watching the movie with twinkling eyes and a genuine smile.
Also, she's started saying "teddy bear go bumpity doo?" then she throws him down the stairs. haha!
Scarlett wanted to nurse the baby. She is such a sweet big sister. I love how she always rubs their heads and says "oooo, baby so cuuute."
OCD?

More Scarlett-isms
- "leaves" means salad
- "good luck mom"
- "a new trick!"
- we'll ask if she's done "Nope, almost."
- "Oh, I see" when she learnes something
- "you a silly goosey"
- "I a goof ball"
- "sun goin down?" at night
- "sun comin up?" in the morning
- if I try and lay down on the couch while the babies nap she'll say "wake up mommy, wake up. Sun's comin up!" then she pulls my blanket off and sometimes opens my eyes for me. Not many naps for mommy...
- "you fix it for me?" "dad fix it when gets home from work?"
- "it's not working right now" "needs new badd-rees" (batteries)
- "I made a huge mess"
- "ole bar" means granola bar
- "my knee hurts, I bumped it in the street" or "my knee hurts, I fell in the car" neither are true and her knee doesn't hurt, it's just a story she tells
- she hates wearing band-aids "I don't like it" "get it off!"
Scarlett brought her teddy bear downstairs this morning. I heard her laughing and saying "stop lickin me" - yep, she was making her teddy bear lick her face! I asked if teddy wanted to drink some of her green smoothie, "no, wants milk." So I had to nurse teddy. Then she said "oh no, need burp cloth!" then ran and grabbed one, came back, and wiped teddy's face off. Then she used the burp cloth as a little bed and patted teddy while singing a song to put him to sleep. hahahahahaha!!!!! So sweet!
Time for new jammies? (and yes, we eat suckers in our jammies while kickin back on the couch watching cartoons at 3pm. don't judge)Scarlett wanted to nurse the baby. She is such a sweet big sister. I love how she always rubs their heads and says "oooo, baby so cuuute."

I have no idea where she learned "cannonball!" from - too funny!
She LOVES balloons. She brought a helium filled balloon home from Kaylie's bday party and Jake accidentally popped it (good one Jake). So he blew up another balloon for her. She let go of it and it just fell to the ground. "Oh no, it's broken!" haha! Despite it's "broken" nature she's been playing with it for the past 5 days.
Lately if we need her to do something we'll starting counting to 3 in a stern voice and she'll run fast right over to do whatever. I'm not sure why she's scared of that cause we hardly ever get to 3 but I'm glad she's listening and obeying. I've been trying really hard to give her big hugs when she is obedient. I have to really pay attention cause so often her good behavior goes unrewarded. Being a mom is sure a lot of hard work! But so much fun!!!

I don't think any of my kids have seen Cinderella. Something about me having to pay too much for an old movie that my kids will just destroy anyway. At Disneyland this year I realized my kids had no reference for most of the characters they were seeing. :(
Love the videos. My two youngest both commented that the twins could actually sit quietly! And they can grab now! Progress. You're gonna make it.
The only way I could ever nap was if I poured cereal or teddy grahams or something like that all over the family room floor and turned on a cartoon. Then I could nap on the couch for as long as it took them to eat the food off the floor, and maybe a little extra if the show caught their attention. THAT is quality parenting. :-)
If she loves balloons you'll have to learn to twist balloons! I bought a hand pump, a bag of balloons and got a book from the library and we had a magnificent time making all sorts of balloon animals. After the first few it is really quite easy to do, and kids are SO impressed. There isn't much I do that impresses them (for some reason they never ooo and aaahhh over the clean laundry...) So it was very gratifying. A latex allergy ended my illustrious career, unfortunately. I should send you my stuff....I think it is still packed from our last move........
Maybe the balloons are an answer to the nursery quandary. If her nursery leaders made balloon animals for the kids, do you think she'd want to stay?
I like that after she did the canon ball jump, she "swam" a little bit.
