Utah: Seaver Fun

We loved playing with Grammy and Grumple.  My mom emailed me several stories from their adventures:
  • Most mornings Siena would come into my room in the morning and whisper, "Can we have chocolate milk, please Grammy?" Best Alarm clock ever, I will miss that.
  • I told Jaide that I would get something for her in a minute, "Grammy I'm going to wait patiently for you to get it," and she did!
  • We were sitting in the front yard and a red mustang drove by pretty fast. I said he needs to slow down and Scarlett replied, "it's a Mustang, it can't go too slow."
  • We drove to Uncle Jim's. On our car ride there Scarlett said, "We didn't have chocolate milk or watch TV this morning and we're still alive!"
  • On our drive to Uncle Jim's, Grumple's cell phone fell on the floor, I unbuckled to get it. Scarlett said, "That is dangerous Grammy-you shouldn't do that." Sticking up for me, because I was in trouble Jaide said, "But she didn't fall out of her seat." Scarlett replied, "That is because she has a big bottom." Then Grumple said to me, "You know why you didn't fall out?...." Yea, yea I heard.. During the time I was unbuckled Grumple was still unbuckled because he had jumped out to make sure the load was still secured. He hadn't buckled yet. Scarlett said to us, "You guys needed a better kindergarten teacher to teach you that wasn't safe." Kindergarten teacher fail. Ha Ha Ha
I like the picture in the bottom on the middle.  We were drinking Jamba Juice and we had to go through the parking lot.  Grammy used their pony tails as leashes!  haha!  We had a great time hanging out in the front yard.

Siena was playing with hose "This must be my lucky day!!" Then when she got all wet she yelled "oh bum paste!" haha!!!

Scarlett told me "I want to be a mommy and a roller skating teacher when I grow up!" #goals!

Scarlett showing off her cartwheels skillz.  Lili did a great job of teaching her.

I had the weirdest mental block this summer about having 4 kids.  I have no idea what was going on or why.  Just randomly I would say I have 3 kids.  Or I would pick up 3 toys and realize at the last second that I needed 4.  I don't know if it was the 3 pregnancies, or if it's cause Skye was a baby and didn't need the same food or toys like her sisters.  I just don't know.  Weird.  I promise, I know that we have 4 kids.

The picture of Scarlett laying on her back, showing off her fidget  spinner skills.  She said to Jami "This is my fidget spinner. Do you want to take it to a spin?"

Scarlett did some abstract art: "It is just a beautiful picture, not supposed to be anything, just like an elevator picture."  haha!

The twirls like to sing "I got this feeling" from the Trolls movie.  It always makes me laugh when they sing "I got this feeling, inside my bones" they will say "I got the spirit, inside my bones." haha!  I just barely caught it on film when Jaide was singing here:

Here is Siena being goofy:

Skye used her newfound crawling skills to get into everything at Grammy's house.  Luckily Skye doesn't seem to put a lot of toys in her mouth.  I still try to be careful, but she's pretty good at understanding toys are not for eating.  We would try to help her walk, but would fold her legs and sit down.  We determined she's in the "Blobbler" phase.  A baby who should be a toddler, but they are too chunky to really walk.

At night Skye would sleep upstairs next to my parent's room.  The girls were in a room at the end of the hall.  Jake and I were in the basement.  LUXURY!  One night Jake sat up and said, I hear Skye.  He went to check on her and she was crying.  I was so impressed that he could hear her all the way across the house.  We ended up finding a baby monitor so we could hear her before she was screaming.  When putting Skye to bed she would use my thumb to pull her hair.  Like clamp her hair between her finger and my thumb.  So random and funny.  I would rock her until I could kiss her face without her wiggling after.

Skye LOVED the song "I can make your hands clap."  She would clap along, even the right beat!  One night I was rocking her and she kept jibber jabbing then clapping her hands.  She was totally singing that song.  I guess it was stuck in her head!  haha!

Skye really does talk a lot.

  • "Hi baby" to a little boy
  • "Hi Jaide" to Siena then she immediately saw Jaide after and said "Hi Siena"
  • "What are you doing?" to Grammy when she was getting something out of the cupboard
  • When Jami asked her if she wanted her to rock her to sleep she replied, "I want Grammy."
  • Hailey poured popcorn onto a plate and Skye said, "Aunt Hailey, jibber jabber," and reached for the popcorn

The girls like to play with Little Live Pet Birds.  Skye figured out how to work the microphone - I love this video:

We wore these girls out!

Hanging out in the party bus...

At church with my parents... after the deacon passed the sacrament Siena whispered "wow, that's a really nice guy!"  Then later the older girls went to primary.  The twirls were nervous so Grammy went to their sunbeam class with them.  She held both of the twirls on her lap.  During sharing time Siena leans in to Grammy's ear and in a very quiet and monotone voice whispers "I can make your hands clap!"  hahaha!!!

Any picture of Skye with Uncle James where she's not crying represents a tiny victory.  The bottom right corner was our vacation schedule.  The picture to the left of it was a funny scene to walk in on: Jake and my mom playing Mario Kart together.  hahaha!!!

Pictures from Jake while he was back in Michigan working for 3 weeks while we were in Utah.  His annual trip up north for some MI coastline adventures.  A photo to show the girls that their flower seeds have been growing.  And a photo of the first week he got to teach his 16-18 year old Sunday School class (everyone was on vacation - haha!)
