Jaide & Siena gave their first primary talks. I was impressed at how fast both of the twirls were able to memorize their talks. We only practiced a few times before they were ready to give their talk to Berlyn and Jake. (The president told us to record it cause Jake was teaching during their talks.)
My goal in writing their talk was to make it so I didn't have to help them very much. So for Jaide's we used different visuals to help her remember the talk. She showed different things she can do around the house to help her feel the spirit. Look at how she just loved being up there:
She explained when she chooses the right to help our whole family it makes her happy. In the video, after she explained how she helped Scarlett she turns to me and whispers "I'm scared" - which you can tell by all her little giggles. But watch how brave she is:
The primary president gave a Sacrament meeting talk. She told a story about how she taught sharing time once and afterwards one of the six year olds came up to her and said "Thank you for sharing time!" It made her day. She even told her own kids about it on their phone call that evening and that is was one of the best experiences she's had teaching in primary. Well after Sacrament she came up to me and told me that the little girl was Scarlett! Then I got a text from one of the primary teachers, Jennifer. She wrote "Sweet little Scarlett told me on Sunday that God loves science girls too! She's precious!" I'm so proud of my sweet little Scarlett!
