At church. Top left corner, Scarlett was sooo sad cause she left class early for her "sick tummy" then she wanted to go back and get her treat. I wouldn't let her get her treat, especially since she was sick. Next picture, Scarlett was put to work in my parent's ward. Can you see Grammy holding the twirls?
Backyard construction. It's become a Seaver tradition.
One of the big highlights of our trip was when Courtney, Parker, Kate and Baby Ruby came to Orem for a few days. Jake and Paul were both out of state working, so it was just mom and the kids. I was so excited to see Snort and to meet little Ruby. Even though it was just a few days, we packed in lots of fun!
We fed the ducks. Grammy told the kids that the duck mommies aren't as pretty to protect them. Siena said "But our mommy is beautiful." Awww thanks. Snort let me braid her hair...
We hit up the new Orem McDonalds. They have this AMAZING table with lights. You touch the table to turn on the lights or change the colors. So fun!!! I love the picture in the top left corner - we all love little Ruby. On the right side, the 2 bottom photos, I was taking a picture and my mom covered Ruby's face with her ice cream. We got a cute chuckle from that! haha! The top right picture Ruby really wanted a little lick of Grammy's ice cream!
Jami's friend, across the street, is a fantastic hair stylist. She squeezed Snort in for a Brazilian Blowout. Ruby and I tagged along for the fun. Ruby needed a little snack while we were there - look are her cute little feet! Snort is Supermom!
Grumple took the kids out for a drive in the backyard CAT.
Aunt Jami was helping the kids do art projects, she overheard this conversation:
My parents have been looking for a new light fixture in their entry way for years. While I was there my mom showed me this cool woven, steampunk wire basket light she liked. My dad showed me this oil rubbed bronze fan with propeller inspired curved tips. After lots of research, emails and phone calls I figured out that the two pieces they liked were actually compatible! We ordered both parts, got an email before we opened the fan that said that they actually wouldn't work together, then they arrived and they worked perfectly! haha! My dad rented a 16' ladder and Jake helped him install it the weekend he flew back to UT to help me fly home. That fan moves a LOT of air!
One night Siena prayed: "Please bless our dinner has no peanuts in it, please bless Grammy to be not too sad cause we are in Michigan now...." So sweet. The twirls will often say "I want to go to Utah" which really means "I want to go to Grammy and Grumple's house."
I also found these photos I didn't post before.
So that's our summer vacation!
We were sitting in the car waiting so I let Skye sit in a booster. Watch her rock out to Hands Clap with Scarlett:

We made good use of the splash pad.
Grammy was on her way to the grocery store, she pulled over and blasted Hands Clap for the kids. Impromptu sidewalk dance party:

Parker and Scarlett were so cute dancing along with Just Dance Kids.

Parker had drawn an airplane. We had so much fun with the Fjeldsteds. I hate that we are on opposite sides of the country. We look forward to the next time we get to hang out with them.
Scarlett: "Cool airplane! Did you know my mom used to build airplanes?"
Parker: "Wow, that is really cool!"
Scarlett: "Yeah she's really cool, I'm proud of her." (With a huge smile on her face)
On our flight home I had everything organized so we hopefully wouldn't have any hang ups. So it was sooo hilarious when we all got through the metal detectors the security came over to tell me they had to test the outside of the baby squeezies cause several of them were over 3 oz. No problem, they just swipe the outside with a paper then test it for certain chemicals. One of the squeezies FAILED! They came over and said they had to test the adult that they belong to and my bag. I brought my purse but asked if they needed to test the diaper bag and all the baby stuff. Luckily, just my purse. They tested the whole thing and gave me a full pat down. Everything came back clean. After they said we could have the failed squeezie back. I was like "You can keep it, I don't want my kids touching that if it has crazy chemicals on it!"
Everything else went smoothly. Skye was a little bored, but really good. I kept the girls and all our luggage while Jake got our car and brought it to the curb. It took several days to adjust back to real life. I sure do miss all those extra helping hands!
