Kandy, Dave, & Braxtyn came to drop Berlyn off for college. They spent a week running around town getting her all hooked up with a MI driver's license, a MI bank account, and all the supplies she needed. Berlyn even leased her first car (luckily for her the immediate family discount just opened up to nieces this past summer, it's a better discount than the dealership employees get!) The girls enjoyed having a bunch of family fun time. We went around town doing errands with the Daniels. Skye made a new buddy friend. Siena even found a sign with her name on it!
Berlyn started school a few weeks after arriving. The girls took no time to warm up to her in our home. They were just grateful to have another grownup to get snacks down from the top shelf. haha! Some of these photos show us sewing curtains for Berlyn's basement room. The only bummer about her little nook is the sump pump and electrical box are in the corner of her room. Twice we've had to go take care of something while she should be sleeping. But other than that she's got a queen sized bed and privacy.
Ashley met up with us to take Berlyn through the Rouge Factory Tour. They have this new AWESOME multisensory movie experience before the tour. The girls had fun watching the cars be built. But I think they enjoyed the bus ride to the facility most of all!
We got to watch the Sawaya girls one day. We played in the basement, or the "bunker" as the Twirls call it (from Trolls).
The girls have been really into fixing hair lately. Even Skye has been playing makeup.
The girls enjoyed their last few weeks of summer. One morning I found Skye's crib FILLED with baby clothes. I brought up our second highchair and they had fun taking turns sitting in it. Jake found this note on his toothbrush that Scarlett wrote. He almost believed it too! Practical joker! The girls really enjoy dancing along to the Just Dance for Kids videos on Youtube.
Even Skye likes to dance:
The Sawayas invited us over for "Famping" (aka Fake Camping). Right before the party it started to rain, Scarlett said a prayer that it would stop raining and it did! She was full of faith and so excited to tell Kaylie how she stopped the rain. The kids watched a movie in the tent while the grown ups ate dessert and let the littles crawl around the toy room. Then after it was dark we went outside and chased down the last few fireflies of the season. Scarlett saw a shooting star and wished that she could be an engineer when she grows up! LOVE!
We spent as much time as we could outside playing. Jake even got Scarlett back on the little dirtbike.
The girls used chalk to draw wiggle car driving course lines. Siena wanted to "swim" so she climbed into the splash table with her floaty on. haha! Skye enjoyed hanging out in the playpen and watching her crazy sisters. So much summer fun!
