Learning to Self-Feed

The girls are finally feeding themselves!  YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!  This is the beginning of a new phase in our lives.  They are already eating better then in this video!  (I'm sorry that these are painfully long and not that interesting... but I'm too tired to edit them.  I won't be offended if you don't watch the whole thing).

Siena bit me a few times this week.  I would gasp in pain, pull her off, look at her and sternly say "no" while tapping her mouth.  She just looked back at me and laughed while poor Jaide started crying!  I was so scared of their little piranha mouths but looks like they've taken a break from biting - at least for now!  Though if they're tired at the end of eating they both start crying.  At first I thought it was cause they were still hungry but it's cause they don't like when my boob is empty and soft, but as soon as I give them their binkies they're fine.  It's funny how opinionated someone so tiny can be!  Speaking of opinionated... Jaide has started shaking her head "no" at us when she doesn't want something (seriously whenever I turn the camera on they stop performing, but she kind of does it eventually):

They don't seem interested in crawling.  Part of me thinks that the helmets may be a factor.  They hate being on their tummies cause they can barely lift their heavy heads.  When we take them off at night they enjoy tummy time a lot more (still prefer their backs).  I love when we take the helmets off for dinner cause the girls have mega helmet hair -  in a perfect cul-de-sac around their heads!

Ha ha! Siena is gonna be trouble! And poor Jaide is going to internalize all the trouble Siena gets them in. I love it!

Self feeding is the BEST! Because then you can eat too, without quite so much interruption. Yay!!

They are adorable!!
