Helmets - Second Check Up

The twirls had their second helmet appointment this week.  We saw a bigger jump in improvement this time!  YAY!

The Orthotic Lady (Molly) glued in foam spacers along the joint to add extra room for growth.  We won't have to go back for 6 weeks (unless they stop fitting well).

Today Jaide woke up from her nap with a 102degF fever.  Again.  I called the doctor and the doctor said (we've been singing that song waaaaaay too much around here lately), that they wanted to see her since she just have a long fever-causing bacteria just a week and a half ago.  I'm glad that they can fit us in on short notice, but it really messes up with my day.  All my productive plans went out the window (getting out of the house is quite a long process).  Luckily Scarlett was able to hang out at the Sawaya's while I took the twins to the pediatrician's office.  They did another toe prick on poor Jaide and found that her while blood cell count was ~4 this time (instead of ~22).  That's great news!  The doctor thinks that it's just a viral infection that will clear up on it's own.  Just bad timing.  But we would rather be safe than sorry (agreed!)  Tonight Siena was acting fussy as well.  So I drugged them both up and hopefully they'll feel better tomorrow.

Ugh. I'm feeling your pain with the sick kids. Every day I've got someone home from school sick (don't they know this was the week I was going to paint the guest room?!?!) and every night I've got people hollering "Mom! Mom!! I still feel sick!!" Soooo sorry for you. Hang in there!!

Oh, and I remember what a pain it used to be to leave the house. And then one day I realized, huh….we totally just leave the house now and it is no big deal. Crazy! Hang in there - it will sneak up on you eventually!
