This little girl loves to chomp on her fist! Skye is really in a fun stage of life. After so many hours of patting her on the back, now she will pat me on the back (so cute!)
This is Skye right before bath time. She knows when we put her next to the tub that she's about to take a dip and she gets soooo excited! I love this.....
At the beginning of October Skye started that phase where she starts nursing then pulls away to look at every little sound - milk everywhere! She loves to put her fingers in my mouth and often reaches back and grabs my phone while I'm feeding her. Little devil.
Jake (talking to Jenni): "Hey baby."
Siena: "Mom's not a baby."
Jake: "No, that's just what I call her sometimes."
Siena (talking to Skye): "Hey mommy."
hahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So funny and so smart!
This girl loves her daddy. I love the picture of her at church with her little arm and bracelet sprawled on Jake's leg. Passed out.
Jake was smirking at me, it took a few minutes to realize his tat on his heel. This boy always has me laughing. He taught the girls a new game: when we sit at at red lights the girls clap and chant "green green green green green green green green green green green green." It's so fun. Thanks Jake.
Jake making Skye chase the twirls...... (I love Skye's blank expression)
Skye was showing her sisters how she can roll to her back. She gets so proud of herself when she flips over.
The the older girls pretend to be babies and showed me that they could all roll like Skye (also Scarlett took off her school clothes and Siena put them on)......
Siena often will speak without contractions: "I am hungry." "I can not do it." It makes her sound all proper. She told me one day "you have bloody eye shots" after I told Jake I had blood shot eyes. She went through a phase where she woke up with nightmare every night. Usually around midnight and sometimes at 5am. Such a bummer. I hate bad dreams. She sometimes would cry but often just come wake me up. We don't let our kids sleep in our bed (nobody gets good sleep with little legs kicking around all night). So I will take her back to her bed and rock her to sleep. Well she wised up cause now I will sometimes just find her in our bed asleep between us. She realized if she sneaks in our bed she can fall asleep before we notice. Little smart stinker.
Jaide is Miss Independent. She loves to do things "all by myself." And often questions everything I ask her to do "buy why...." She also really thinks things through "let's test it!" She told me "come with me mom, you a sidekick." Sounds about right. And when we pick Scarlett up from school there is a little bus that picks up kids and takes them to a daycare called "Jade Childhood Development." So now Jaide says "I so excited to see the Jade bus! Like me!"
One morning Siena went downstairs and packed Scarlett a lunch for her to take to school. So sweet!
One Sunday Jake came in YW to get the diaper bag. Apparently Jaide was complaing to the nursery leader that her bum was itchy. Then Jake brought me the bag. Well like 10 min later the door to my laurel class opens and I see Siena holding Jake's hand, right then Siena said (in her sweet, soft, high pitched little girl voice) "I have a itchy bum!" I gave Jake the diaper bag and the YW and I had a laugh at the situation. I guess you could say Siena's bum was the butt of the joke.
I love finding little parking lots around our house.
I don't know how it started, but Scarlett will ask us "Did you miss me? Did you miss me? Did you miss me?" Like Moriarty at the end of the BBC Sherlock. Creepy.
Scarlett really enjoys school. One day she even told me "My tummy hurt at school but I didn't tell my teacher cause I wanted to stay and learn." I am so impressed at how well she can read. She picks up these beginning reader books and just goes to town. So fun!
One day I took all the girls to the library. I was so impressed with myself for taking all 4 girls somewhere by myself just for fun. I usually am not that brave.
I started making a calendar for each month with cheesy clip art for different things that we are doing. the girls love it and it helps them visualize what we have coming up. Also, I took a picture of these wedding invites we got, do you notice anything similar about them? haha! I guess I know what's in style for engagement photos right now.
Do you watch Jimmy Fallon? We love that show! Jake and Jimmy have a lot of similar mannerisms and sense of humor. Anyways, have you seen the screen grab sketch? Well the other day this parenting article showed up in my suggested articles. I just thought it was so funny where the title got cut off. It makes it look like the article it about how to teach to to spank your kids. "Here's how to."
