If you know Jake, you know he is into dirt bikes. As a dad he's been anxious to get his kids involved in his hobbies too. Did having girls deter Jake? No, it only made him buy more pink riding gear.
Jake was so excited when our friend Jordan bought a minibike with training wheels and let Jake borrow it. He got Scarlett all pumped up to ride it. She even used all her piggy bank money to buy a helmet!
First minibike ride.... we were impressed at how good she was able to maneuver it.
Scarlett got scared from it's power, so she wants to take a break from it til she's 12. haha! After her first ride Jake put a restrictor to make it even slower. We'll try again in the spring.
Scarlett started ballet and tap this fall. It's so cute to watch her little class.
The twirls and Amber love watching the older girls do tap.
While Jami was in town, Scarlett's class had a pumpkin day. Jami watched my younger kids while I went into the classroom to help. I got to lead a table full of kindergarten and third grade girls as we dug into a pumpkin and learned all about it. It was college shirt day, so Scarlett and I wore our BYU gear.
After the pumpkin guts activity we got coats on to play outside. I helped a little boy zip up his coat. I turned around and there was another kid who asked me "are you a coat zipper?" haha! yes, I am! After helping him zip up his coat he said "you are a good mom." So cute! Lots of kids said they loved my huge skeleton Halloween earring. And several kids came up to me and asked me "are you a mom?" haha!
The school has this tradition where they drop pumpkins off the roof of the school for the kindergartners. It was so fun!
Another mom and I stayed for the rest of the school day and did some paperwork for Mrs. Roy. It was hard to decipher all the kindergartners names! I'm grateful that I was able to go help out and spend more time in the classroom getting to know Mrs. Roy. Her husband was even there that day helping out so I got to chat with him. I still can't believe she's gone. :'-(
