Remember the last air show we watched in our backyard? Our close proximity to Willow Run Airport makes it perfect to watch air shows right from our lawn. What a wonderful treat for two jet engine engineers! Last month Willow Run featured the Canadian Forces Snowbirds for the Wild Wednesday Air Show!
Jake had to go to scouts during the show, but I told the girls if they got all ready for bed we could go outside for a special adventure. They were so excited! We set up chairs, brought out some Oreos, and watched the show.
Paratroopers!
Our neighbors, Jayden and Karden, came over to watch the show with us. Karden was so sweet at keeping the twirls on the grass and helping them follow my instructions. He's 9 years old and such a good helper - he's always the first to clean up when it's time to go.
The first flyover:
The planes were "makin a rainbow":
"This is the bestest night ever!"
Airplanes!
That sneaky jet engine! It scared poor Scarlett (is it wrong that this video makes me chuckle?)

Great idea to go with the flow and not try to fight the noise by having the girls in bed..
AWESOME!
Ooooh, I wanna visit you when the air show is on. They had an awesome one here, but I just can't bring myself to fight the crowds anymore. I'm geriatric that way.
How fun!
(And seeing kids startled makes everyone chuckle, I think! Hehehe)
