I heard crying one night and as I woke up I thought "oh man, Skye's awake." Those words sounded so familiar to me. Then it clicked! Frozen!
Skye had her 2 month checkup last week. Ashley was coming over but Lyla woke up sick, so I texted a bunch of friends from the ward last minute and found another sitter. Christine called 10 min before she was supposed to leave cause her car wouldn't start, I called Laura and she came to my rescue. I am so thankful to have such a supportive ward with so many "framily" members to help us!
Lately Skye's had mucus in her poop and really loose stool. She'll have stinky gas for a day then a huge blow out. I really think it's from milk protein. So I have stopped eating all dairy and milk products. It can take up to 3 weeks to work its way out of her system, but hopefully I'll see a difference soon.
Other things we discussed at the doctor: stop using scented lotion. Lavender oil has been linked to signs of early puberty. Skye's head feels flat in the back (OH NO!) We try to keep her off of it at least 50% of the time she's awake. But over the next 2 months I'm going to try my best to keep her off of it - I really don't want to do helmets again! What is it with my girls and their soft sculls? Oh and we can use Tylenol now! Whoo hooo!
The girls were great for Laura. The twirls didn't even mind when I dropped them off. We use the phrase "grown ups come back to you" from Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood and they know that we will be back. In fact, they repeat it back to me several times before I leave them. When I had picked them up and we were driving home, Scarlett FREAKED OUT when she saw she still had one of Kaylie's bracelets on. She was bawling and made me turn around and head back to Laura's. She was so scared that she was in trouble. Laura was so sweet and gave Scarlett the bracelet. Lately Scarlett has been crying every time she makes a "mistake." Poor girl! I keep trying to teach her that life is all about making mistakes and doing our best to learn from them. Hopefully that message will sink in soon.

Skye at her 2 month checkup...
- Height: 22.5 in (37%)
- Weight: 11 lb 6.5 oz (41%)
- Head: 38 cm (31%)
The nurse who did her immunizations said she was sorry they were out of butterfly bandaids, and they only had dump trucks. haha! I prefer trucks anyways! Skye is such a sweetie. She cried for a second until I picked her up. She's so patient and doesn't scream at me (like some of my other kids...)
Skye loves to chew on her hands! I have to pry her little fists away from her mouth to get her to latch on. I often try to replace her hands with a binky. She likes the binky just fine, but it's not her favorite. At night she'll sometimes use it while she falls asleep but then she will gag on it like I forced it down her throat and she will spit it out, then fall into a deep sleep. Sometimes when she's way too tired the binky won't do and I will have to nurse her to sleep. She will latch on and immediately her eyes will roll back and as she falls asleep.
Here Skye is showing us her "muscles." When I nurse her right before bed she will sometimes unlatch and clamp her jaw shut with her little tongue sticking out between her lips. If she only ate on one side I will try to open her mouth to eat on the other side but once she makes this face she is done eating and can't be aroused. She's out for the count!
Skye often gets her little hands out of her swaddle blanket. That act of freedom comes with a price: cold little fingers! She likes to make fists with her thumb between the two fingers, like the sign language "T".
She has slept 6-8 hour chunks almost every night. Angel baby! Now if the other girls would sleep in or get on her schedule so I could sleep 8 hours that would be great! This little chunky monkey is outta newborn clothes.
Bath time is a favorite. She gets so excited when she hears the water running. And with her milk protein blowouts she sometimes gets two baths a day! Also, I love her little comb over photo (top right corner) and her wet curly hair (bottom right corner).
We are smitten with the sweet little girl of ours!
She likes to chew on my chin.
These goofballs were nursing and burping their babies. What good little mommies!
I don't worry about the girls being mean to Skye, I worry that they love her too much:

One more very cute kid!!
Okay, that's it---we need to buy airplane tickets today. Are you blessing her on Sept. 4th? I would love to come the week before if possible; how about your folks----do they have special calendar requests? Let us know ASAP.
There is a book called 'The Girl who Never Made Mistakes'. It's all about how life is about learning. In case Scarlett needs some extra reinforcement.
Oh my goodness those cheeks!! Please squish them and cover them in kisses for me. She is too cute!!!
What a cutiepie! You are blessed with 4 sweet little girls. Love Grandma
