Cabin Fever

This winter has been long and cold.  Too cold to even play outside in the snow!  We are all getting a vicious case of cabin fever!  Luckily we've found a few fun things to distract us and lots of friends to enjoy.

Scarlett and I were playing with her building blocks the other day.  She told me "let's build a house - with smoke detectors."  haha!  She's really into asking "why?"  "why?"  "why?"  "why?"  I like that she's inquisitive, but it takes us like 15 minutes of explanations just to do a simple task.  She also likes asking "how does it work?"  "What's making that sound?"  Can I see it?"  We do lots of "speriments" (experiments) where we investigate and try to answer her many many many questions.

Cassondra moved to Ferndale - way too far away!  Luckily we got to hang out at their house.  But I'm still bummed that I probably won't run into her at hob lob anymore.

Playing play doh with Kaden.  Scarlett manufactured a bunch of stars and put them on a skewer "look - I made a Christmas tree!"

Scarlett serenading the babies and me.  Her favorites to play for us right now are "ABC's" and "Trial a Gone" (aka Child of God).

She fell asleep in the car and didn't want to wake up when we got home.  So I left the car door open and the garage door open.  She slept until Jake got home from work! (ok, it was like 15 min, but still)
The trampoline is proving to be a worthwhile investment!

I'm running out of energy and ideas - and we still have several more months of yucky weather!  AGGGHHHH!!!!

Agreed on the weather--I can't imagine what it's like for people with kids! I'm plenty antsy as it is!!

Looks like you're making good use of your time though. I'm impressed you have the energy/mental ability to do speriments at all with her!

Our spring arrived this week and I must say it's exhilarating to go outdoors and feel the sun again. You're almost there!

Hang in there - winters up there are awfully long when the kids are little. :-(

I'm still just so delighted that you have a trampoline in your house. Too funny.
