First BIG Snowfall

We had our first big snowstorm last week.  We watched the "fowflwakes" fall all day.  Finally Scarlett convinced her dad to bundle them up and go play with her orange sled.  They were outside for HOURS!  No joke!  I can't believe how long she stayed out there!

She wasn't even phased when she fell off the sled!

Jake put her to work with her little shovel.  She was in charge of uncovering all of our outside lights.  She took her responsibility very seriously!

The snow was so deep - every once in awhile we would hear "I need help, dad."

When she finally came inside she was a little delirious - babbling on about wanting to go back outside but couldn't cause her hands were too cold.  Luckily it didn't take long for her to warm up in front of the heater vent & fireplace.

The next morning in the snow we saw tons of animal footprints - right on our porch!  We guess they are squirrel, bunny, bird, and some others?  The bunny at one point was jumping and the tracks were like 5 feet apart!

How fun! My boys would be sooooo jealous. No snow for us down here.

Should I get up on my soapbox now about always putting Siena before Jaide? (my autocorrect just switched her name to Maude heee hee). I hope those sticking positions are switchable.

Oh! Jaide's new nickname for life is Maude! I love it!

OKay---we are not doing Maude. I already love the name Jaide. Maude is an old lady in a house dress with snowboots, no socks and a cigarette hanging out her mouth. No can do.

I agree with Vickie about Maude-

I love that Christy will always make sure that Siena and Jaide are interchangeable as to who goes first, since I am always saying Siena was born first. Between the two of us it should help you keep things even- You are welcome Jen- we are always here to help.

The snowsuit bundled picture of Scarlett growling. That is what it looks like- is adorable- dad said it is his favorite picture of her.

Scarlett is lucky to have a dad that will take her on adventures. I love that she took her job so seriously- I hope she will retain that enthusiasm into teenhood.

Warming by the fire and heater vent, so cute- she looks so much like you at this age.

How cute!! I'm glad you have a good hubby to take her out into the cold so you can stay warm inside . . .
