Glauser Olympics

We had our third annual Glauser Olympics.

The first event was family pictures.  Unfortunately the picture memo didn't get passed on to everyone so a few people showed up in their team jerseys instead of picture clothes.  Luckily since all our luggage was here, I was able to share my wardrobe with them.  Can you guess who's wearing my clothes?
hint: pink lace. purple stripes. black cardigan.

M. kept sharing her fruit by the foot with Scarlett.  They are so sweet together.

For the next events we all switched to our Team Jami shirts.  My SIL has great team photos on her blog.  M.W. even painted her nails to match!

We played a game where you move cotton balls with just your nose and Vaseline.

Next was one leg balancing.  The first place winner was allowed to use his crutches - judges are still out on if he qualifies.  But I took second place - even while holding a baby!  Years of cheerleading prepared me for this very moment!

There was golf across the yard, which I believe (?) Jake won.  Unless you count Scarlett's turn.  Where she picked up the ball, ran across the yard, and threw it between the goal posts.

The next even was a relay one legged jumping.  After all that balancing and since I was holding a baby I opted out.  Jake decided to play with Scarlett though.  You can see the effect the games had on our babies.

Spit up baby and sleeping baby.

The final, and most fun, event was Cheetos toss.  You put a shower cap on one team member, another covers them with shaving cream, and another tries to get Cheetos to stick to their head - as many as you can in the time limit.  Since we were in last place we decided to have M. join our team so her family could compete hard core.  They both wanted shower caps.  But their favorite part was to pull off the shaving cream coated Cheetos and eat them!  YUCK!  Too bad it wasn't whipped cream.

It was a fun evening.  I'm glad Carolyn organizes it each year.  Though, I have a feeling it will be a long time before we climb out of last place...

Love it!

I must confess my favorite picture of the bunch is Jake pointing at the baby spit up. I don't know why...but that one just tickles me!

For being thrown together last minutes, the Glauser Olympics did turn out to be pretty fun! Just wait until you see what events I can come up with with time to plan!

I have to say that the pictures of my kids holding the babies crack me up. The girls all have peaceful babies, and my baby who has never had practice with younger siblings makes the baby cry!
