The first few weeks of our trip were spent with the Seaver family. Their house is under construction right now - so we maneuvered around the chaos - unfortunately I think we brought 90% of mayhem with us from Michigan!
The babies went on morning walks with Grammy. I went running one day. First time running in a long time. I spent the next few weeks recovering physically from that adventure. I still haven't healed emotionally...
Poor Jami was holding Jaide up in the air over her, playing with the baby like the wonderful aunt that she is, and how did Jaide thank her? By spitting up in her mouth. A lot. Unfortunately it startled Jami so much that she ended up swallowing some! Jake was on the front porch outside and heard loud dry heaving as Jami came to terms with what had just happened. Gross. Even more disgusting when you think about the fact that I just bird-fed my sister. Yuck! And to top it off Siena spit up not ten minutes later on Jami's cheek, a mere 1 inch away from her mouth!
Scarlett loves her stickers!
Watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse - it's currently her new favorite show (thanks Kaylie)!
Shopping with Grammy in style!
I took these 5 girls to Target with me. I felt like I was driving a train. Choo choo!
Church would seem easy with all the extra help. Wrong. During Relief Society my mom and I were sitting on the front row with the babies. They started getting fussy cause they were hungry. My mom didn't want to leave the lesson so I decided to just feed them in there (it's only girls, plus my nursing cover conceals my front and back - pretty private). So I fed Jaide first. Right when she was done eating the nursery leader brought a hysterical Scarlett into the classroom. She ran up to me and started crawling on my lap - mind you I was still nursing Jaide. My mom was keeping Siena calm while she was waiting for her meal and Scarlett wouldn't let anyone else touch her. A nice lady came and I handed Jaide to her. Jaide proceeded to spit up all over this lady's dress and on the floor. Another lady tried to come get Scarlett. This made her even more mad and she clawed her way up to my neck and grabbed my cheeks in her hands and turned my face to her (something she does now when she wants my full attention). I finally got Scarlett calmed down and got her to sit on the floor between my feet and eat a sucker. Siena was full on crying now: "where's my lunch?!" So I nursed her and things seemed ok for a few minutes. The one lady gave Jaide back to my mom where she proceeded to spit up again over my mom's shoulder and all over the seats behind us. Thankfully they were vacant. About this time Scarlett started screaming again. I was still holding Siena and full exposed under my nursing cover. Another lady offered help. I gave her Siena and scooped Scarlett up on our way out to the hallway. We ducked into the bathroom so I could rearrange myself (I was still wearing my nursing poncho). Then I just sat in there for a few min to regroup. Seriously a stressful ten minutes. I stayed in the hallway for the rest of the meeting. After church I went back in the classroom and apologized to the teacher for being so disruptive during the lesson that she spent so much time preparing. She told me not to worry for a second and to never feel that I don't belong at church. I'm so thankful she was understanding. Apparently the next Sunday they mentioned how the previous week was a good example of sisters in action working together (glad they could see the silver lining). We went through burp cloths like crazy. I did laundry every other day. I brought 20 with me and ended up buying another 10 while in UT (we just use cloth diapers - they are excellent).
Scarlett kept asking for "birthday cake" so one evening I made one. We used a few candles and sang happy birthday to her so she could blow them out. Then we relit them and sang again. And again. And again. And again. Grumple and Grammy are too fun!
There's all sorts of fun stuff to get into at Grammy's house.
We kept finding rows of kid cups filled with water all lined up on the counter! Eventually we just had to child lock the water on the fridge.
Scarlett had a ton of fun!
And so did Jake!
Licking fruit. "So nummy!"
Working with Grumple.
Chillin with Grammy.

What a fun visit! I love the picture of Scarlett helping Grumple with the mowing. So adorable.
Oh how fun!! I wish we could have been there to see you guys.
The RS thing happens ALL THE TIME. And she was right - you should never feel bad about being there. You know what they were all thinking? "Holy crap that Sister Glauser is a ROCKSTAR! I remember when my kids did that and I just burst into tears - look at her totally keeping it together." :-)
RS sisters are the best!
Glad that despite all the spitup, your stay was so fun. I second the motion that the lawn mowing picture is the cutest ever!
