Galentines Day

Jake and I don't really celebrate Valentine's day.  We celebrate our anniversary and really every day is a celebration of our love!  haha!  But seriously I'm not much of a romantic in terms of chocolates and flowers (just give me an hour alone at Hobby Lobby and you'll have my heart!)  But I like celebrating Feb 14 with my tiny gals.

We made Valentines.  I made little hearts for Scarlett's lunch using carrots and oranges (so easy! thank you pinterest!)

For Valentine's Scarlett could wear a red or pink shirt with her uniform.  I braided her hair into a heart.

The twirls had preschool that day.  I put them in their heart outfits and did little heart twists in their hair.

I have always had a passion for hair.  I remember going to school one day in like 3rd or 4th grade and I forgot to do my hair that morning.  They let me call home cause I was hysterically crying.  My mom pulled into the parking lot and I ran out to the car.  She brushed my hair with our brown bristle brush and put it in two "puppy ears" with big colorful bobbles.  Yes, it was that important to me.

The past month I've been able to leave the twirls at preschool without having to stay with them.  They are braver together.  They will hold hands and help each other in new situations.  Sooo cute!!!

Scarlett's teacher asked them to make homemade Valentines to pass out to the class.  Luckily I was able to use stuff I already had in my craft room and Scarlett assembled 30 invitations.  She decorated her bag all by herself too.

I went through Scarlett's loot bag and looked at all the cute invitations.  But this was my favorite Valentine she recieved... haha!

Scarlett brought this home that day.  Favorite Things: Aunt Jami.  My Friends: Blake, Kaylie.  Things That Make Me Happy: Rainbow (ramebow).  My Family: Mom, Dad, Siena, Jaide, Scarlett, Skye.  I love... Baby Skye.

By the end of the day the girls fell apart.  Too tired to function.  They went outside to say goodbye to Miss Laura but they had cold feet.  So they stood on my toes so I could walk them inside.  Whining girls, twirls on my toes hanging onto my legs, Jaide buck naked (why?!), Skye in my arms - Laura couldn't resist taking this million dollar picture!  haha!

I remember a specific Valentine's Day while Jake and I lived in Connecticut.  February 14th landed on a Saturday.  We decided to spend the morning in the Boston temple.  It felt like a perfect way to celebrate the holiday.  The temple was quiet that day, they asked us to stay and do sealings afterward.  When we started doing sealings one of the last names was Valentino!!!  No way!!!  It was a little tender mercy showing us that we were where we needed to be that day.  Love!

You are so much fun! Their hair looks fantastic!

Love the nudist. We STILL have that problem around here....I'm not sure when (or if...) they outgrow it. Haha.
