Going along our Frozen/Skye theme, I felt like this quote accurately captured July.
Newborn and blowout. You get the idea. I think it was a combination of dairy and having a box of size 1 diapers that I was determined to finish. But there were several crappy events. The worst part? She seems to always stick her foot right in her soupy diaper - gross! I counted how many crevices I had to clean out when she pooped: NINE! Yes, 9 chunky little cracks for poop to hide from knee to knee. But I'm loving my chunky, sweet baby!
I was convinced that milk protein was the culprit to her loose and mucusy stool, but I've been off dairy for a month and haven't noticed a change. I think I might need to try cutting out soy as well. Ugh.
PS: do you know why lots of baby clothes have those shoulder flaps? So you can take their clothes off by pulling them down toward their feet instead of dragging the poop covered clothes over their head. Genius!

One Sunday Jake asked if he needed to take Skye 3rd hour so I could teach the Laurels. I told him no, I literally teach a class of babysitters! haha! Skye gets so much love from the girls. She's often asleep and so angelic while I teach. But during Sacrament meeting she likes to eat - usually proceeded by crying. A few weeks ago I was getting ready to feed her when Jaide started crying. I was cradling Skye in one arm, scooped up Jaide with my other, stood up and left in a hot mess. My friend's sister was visiting and she said I looked like supermom in that moment. haha! Glad at least one person didn't think I was a total disaster! Last Sunday I got ready for church while nursing! Latch that baby on and get to work! Always be nursin'.
Skye is learning to swat at toys. She gets really focused. Her play is her job and she takes is seriously.
I love how Skye always props her arm up on your shoulder when you hold her like this.
She loves playing with dad. I think its cute that sometimes she forgets that she has a voice and she'll just smile but not make any sounds.
Skye is a great sleeper. In July she started sleeping 8-9 hours almost every night. I decided to move her from the swing to her crib at night. I expected a few evenings of transition, but nope, she just slept til morning like nothing had changed. Angel baby.
The YW got invited to RS one Sunday for a lesson. Janice taught and part of her lesson she brought up something I posted on FB. A friend had posted something about nails and I commented on how I have 100 nails to cut, file, and paint. That caught Janice's attention and she liked the idea so much that she put it in her lesson!
I remembered that our high chairs recline. So Skye has been joining us for meals. She loves watching her sisters. It won't be long til she'll be big enough to throw food at them!
We love our sweet angel baby!

My goodness, how fast that baby is growing! You wont have a baby very long. Love Grandma
I love this post; can you believe that we have been so busy that today (8/25/16) is the first time I have had time to watch it. You are truly blessed to have a baby that sleeps 8-9 hours. Most of my children did the same and it saved Momma's sanity and the rest of the family. See you soon!
I've neglected to thank you for the pics you sent. I love them. I put everyone's pics on a board so I can see them when we come out of our bedroom in the am.
Skye sounds like a really good baby. Well, they all are. But it's great that you can get a full nights sleep. It makes living worth while. Somehow that getting up at night is so exhausting. Vickie is really looking forward to holding that newby.
