a-MAY-zing!

May was wonderful.  Sunshine.  Warm weather.  Newborn snuggles.  And my mom was still here!  These are some random photos from May that I should probably break into smaller blog posts, but I'm just too tired... (cause now it's June and my mom is no longer here... no more naps for Jenni *tear*)

I got home from the hospital with Skye and found a lovely surprise in my mailbox: Jury Duty!  Ummmm.. no thanks.  I filled out a ton of papers and even had to get a note from Dr. Tosto that stated I'm currently breastfeeding.  Luckily they excused me from serving, at least for a year.

Did you know that we have identical twins?  I know, it's hard to tell cause I don't dress them identical.  But occasionally they accidentally dress alike: (I really need a sarcasm font)
Meijer had a ton of toddler girl clothes in green and yellow this year! (yes Jaide had a bloody nose)
Look at these little high heels!!!!  ADORABLE!  And if you look closely you can see their green and yellow hair clips.  We have to do that for their nursery teachers (and, let's be honest, for us too).

Here are some hilarious videos of the older girls:

Siena performing her happy/sad face trick that Jake taught her:

Scarlett laying eggs.  Oh my goodness this is so hilarious!!!!  I have no idea where she came up with this idea!?!

We took all the girls to Target to get another Shark vacuum (LOVE them)
Our old vacuum got a crack in the hose.  Jaide (who loves to vacuum the most) was sad that it got hurt and just had to love on it:

This happened... I'm pretty sure that there was another kid in there somewhere...

Playing on the circle swing eating Fruit by the Foot.

Fun with ice cream cones.
Somehow Jaide face planted on the grass - right on top of her ice cream.  Poor thing was so sad but my mom and I couldn't stop laughing!  We cleaned her up (right after taking a bunch of photos!)  Laura gave me this baby wrap and I love it.  She loves being snuggled and I like having both hands free and giving my arms a break.

While on a walk with Jake the girls found a toad.  Scarlett picked it up!!!  She is so brave!  She brought it to our house to show Grumple and me.  When asked the toad's name she responded "Toe Pants" without any hesitation.  That little mind of hers!

Look at that hair!

The girls invented this game.  I think this proves that they should never be alone with Skye.
This video CRACKS ME UP!!!!!!!

Grammy let the girls dress themselves.  Belly shirts and all.

Girls wore Grammy out!

It's the year of rompers!

While my parents were in NYC Jake and I took the girls to the park.  It was the first outing we've done with all the girls.  Four girls.  Two girls per parent.  Oh my!
We had a great time.  The kids loved watching the rocket balloons that Jake brought.  By the time we left the park every single kid was crying.  Nice.

Playing hide and seek!

Grammy is so fun!

Scarlett taught Siena a science experience:

These girls LOVE puzzles.

These little love bugs.

A lady from our ward brought over a baby gift for Skye and windmills for the older girls.  They were playing with them near Skye so I told them to stay back and be careful to not poke Skye's eye.  Jaide misunderstood me and thought it was an invitation to poke Skye in the eye.  She just went in and poked her with no hesitation!!!  Luckily it was soft and I screamed before any damage was done - physical at least.  Emotional totally different story.  Jaide was crying hot tears of remorse and Skye was crying from her near-injury.  I had to sit and hold them both as they cried together.

Shower time turned into a disco dance party!

Little witches:

The girls all have new tennis shoes.  I was sick of tying and untying knots.  So I ordered lock laces off of Amazon.  They've been great!  And they're reflective!  It also helps to tell their shoes apart!

I have in my notes this paragraph: "May 20 was a great day!  Siena stayed downstairs with Grammy, Jaide wore panties all day, Skye slept two 5 hour chunks, Skye's umbilical cord fell off, and Siena wore new shoes!"

Apparently it was a good day!  Siena had several weeks where she was glued to me.  Like had to watch me shower.  It was bad.  My mom would let me nap and Siena would scream outside my door.  Finally I told her she could come in but she had to nap with me (she hates to nap).  Guess what?  She snuggled in my bed and fell right asleep!  She would lean over give me a kiss and say "I love you mommy" or "I miss you mommy".  I think it was her way of adjusting to the new baby.

The twirls "fell asleep" at dinner.  Their fake snores were cracking me up!

Jaide LOVES to nap.  She likes to change into jammies and snuggle in her bed.  She will ask for naps like once a week.  One day she was sleeping in her room and I realized she was wearing panties.  I was worried that she would have an accident so I quietly snuck in her room and put a diaper over her panties.  She slept the whole time, kept trying to roll away from me.  When she woke up she came downstairs and started laughing "diaper over panties!" haha!

More naps.  Partying hard.

We made ink "paw prints" of baby Skye.  The girls joined in the fun!

Scarlett had a bad dream so I gave her a few M&Ms to help her have sweet dreams.  I looked on the monitor to make sure she went back to bed.  I saw the twirls wake up when she went in the room (oh no) but Scarlett went over and tucked them back in bed and gave them each one of her M&Ms.  What a sweetie!!!  She is a loving big sister!

Siena touched my tummy one day and said "baby in there?"  ha!  No!  Thanks though.  There was a baby in there.  And it's going to take a few more months before my body undoes that crazy trick.  How did she fit in there!?

Such a sweet angel baby!

Jake and I took her on several dates (ps did you know you could flip the wood high chair upsidedown and the infant seat fits perfect!)  Skye loves to shower and take baths.  She never cries when she's in the water.

Siena showing her muscles while climbing the rock wall.

The girls love playing in the back yard.  Scarlett is our little "sunscreem" monitor.  Aunt Hailey would be proud!

Megan has the same swimsuits your girls are all wearing. She'll be so excited to know she's twinners with them all!

Great update. I'm totally jealous of the newborn snuggles.
