UT: Sleepover with Cousin M

My SIL and Cousin M came to visit us shortly after we arrived.  We found out that the next morning Cousin M was going to stay at a friend's house for a few days while her family was at youth conference.  I commandeered her sleepover and we convinced her mom to just leave M with us for the next few days.  She agreed to our plan and left M behind.  Since it was a last min change of plan she didn't have anything packed for her.  Jake and I ran to Target to pick up a few essentials (including matching outfits).

Cousin M borrowed Scarlett's jammies and they shared a big bed.  Grammy was so nice and read them several books!

The next morning we surprised the girls with their twin outfits.  The both were sooo excited to be twins!  They even let me do their hair like twins.  We called this hairstyle "unicorn tails".

We spent a LOT of time playing bubbles outside.  I think during our vacation we went through like 800 ginormous bottles of miracle bubbles.

Papa Hanna soaking in the rays.  And Grumple organizing games.

Grammy spoiled them with all sorts of snacks and fun bowls.

"Star hair" and heart shirts.

Just a video showing how excited Siena was when she figured out how to blow bubbles with the little blue/yellow wand.

The quads.  And Scarlett somehow got several slivers in her foot.  Poor girl is terrified of slivers and usually never walks in bare feet.

Play doh time!

Jake was so excited to use his telescope.  That telescope may or may not be a source of contention between Jake and me.   It was from Great-grandpa Mario and Mom & Dad Glauser gave it to Jake.  Well when we drove our minivan to UT last summer Jake was excited to bring his telescope back to MI.  The GIANT telescope box didn't fit in our minivan (but somehow we had space for a lot of books and other crap that I wanted).  But in my defense, a lot of the stuff we brought back was memorabilia of his from his parent's house since they were getting ready to go on their mission - so it wasn't just me.... anyways...  The girls enjoyed looking at the trees and some clouds.  Too bad it doesn't get dark until way after their bed time.

More play doh.  I went to find Jaide and I found her in the living room.  Braxtyn was keeping her eyes on Jaide - no one said anything about those eyes being right-side-up!

"Coronation Hair" day.

We took Cousin M to her home at the end of our fun weekend.  Aunt Jami made sure the girls were decked out in new necklaces for their journey.

Scarlett had so much fun with M and so did we!  She was seriously the easiest child to babysit.  She didn't complain about anything.  She didn't fight.  She was happy to just go along with whatever we were doing.  The only time I heard her complain was when she asked Scarlett "can we go to bed now?"  haha!  Those girls had so much fun!  Scarlett fell asleep within minutes of starting for home.

Sounds like a real stroke of inspiration to get Scarlett and cousin MB together for a few days of your trip. They are both really sweet (but then, we only have sweet grandkids!), and can be lifelong friends.

M had the best time ever with you guys. Of course now that I see how much you did with her, I can't believe she was willing to come home! Twinning is her dream!
