My Grandpa Hanna, Aunt Kelly, Uncle Mark, and a few of their grandkids came to Utah for Grandpa Seaver's funeral. We only got to spend a few days with the Simonsen clan but we had a great time. Scarlett loved playing with M & J.
We went to Bishop Oldham's trampoline one night. I couldn't resist organizing a few games.
Bishop Oldham went over to his roses and pulled off a ton of petals - the kids went crazy with excitement as he started throwing them on their heads. Bishop Oldham for the win!
We were sad that they only stayed for a few days. (side note: why do my girls love bugs so much!?)
Grandpa Hanna watches M & J during the day while Aunt Kelly is at work. To avoid complication with their Grandpa Simonsen, Grandpa Hanna has the kids call him "Papa Hanna" but you have to say it with a true Texan accent "pa-paw" (pa like pat). My girls LOVE Papa Hanna! Especially the twirls. I couldn't believe how much they warmed up to them. Most of the time they would pretend to be puppies - they would even lick his feet! In the morning he would get the girls out of their beds and take them downstairs. I would wake up and he would have already gotten them breakfast and put them in their high chairs. We sure loved having him around!
Papa Hanna loves to bake in the sun!
Luckily we got to keep Papa Hanna for a few extra weeks. It was fun to spend time with him and talk about family history. I am trying to map out the entire Hanna family line. Yay Family History!
