UT: Glauser Fun

We got together with the Glauser clan to do all sorts of fun things during our UT trip.

The adults got together for burgers and shakes at JCW (we love that place!)

Game night at the Whites.  We played Bananagrams - a fun game (and not just cause I won a few rounds, haha!)

Aunt Carolyn came by the house on the way home from our late game night to give Scarlett a present.  You can see Scarlett's enthusiasm was a bit overshadowed by the late hour.  The next morning Scarlett and Jake poured over the pages looking for Waldo.

Aunt Carolyn came by the house for Sunday dinner.  We went outside to play bubbles - Grumple likes to play bubbles dressed in his Sunday best.

Jake kept blowing bubbles in the wind so that they would blow all over Carolyn.  It took her a few min to figure out what he was doing.  I guess he'll always be the little brother!

We noticed that the twirls had yellow and green stickers on their backs.  We asked who did that and Scarlett piped up "I did.  So you can tell them apart."  haha!

While we were sitting by the porch I looked over and saw Scarlett standing on the driveway with her legs spread apart, squatting, and peeing right through her shorts!?!  I yelled "SCARLETT!  What are you doing?!?"  "I couldn't make it to the potty in time!"  "You didn't even try!"  "...I wanted to surprise you guys."  Well she sure did surprise us!  Aunt Carolyn did a good job taking care of the evidence by soaking Scarlett and the driveway.

Another afternoon the girls and I went to the Bodens to hang out.  Scarlett and Cousin M were playing with her toy makeup, Kyle coined the term "Fakeup."

Christy borrowed 2 pack 'n plays from her friends so the twirls could take naps.  Worked like a charm!

When we showed up to their house we realized it was "Twin day" - even Christy and I matched!!! haha!  Gordmans for the win!

The Boden's trampoline was a huge hit!  It was the first time that I've seen the twirls really jump on a trampoline.

Here's Siena jumping:

Here's Jaide jumping:  I was surprised that Jaide was more adventurous than Siena.  Every time I think I have their personalities figured out, they switch on me!

The girls and I went to the White's for a Glauser family FHE one Sunday afternoon (Jake was in MI).  While we were eating dinner Scarlett asked me "Mom, can you be a dear and get me more food?"  haha!

We played a fun game where everyone writes a name on a piece of paper (any name, famous, made up, someone in the room, etc).  Then the names all go in a hat.  One person reads all the names aloud, twice.  Then the names are covered up and not looked at again.  You go around the room and everyone gets a turn to make one guess.  You try and guess who wrote which name, like "I think Mary wrote the name Obama" etc.  If you are wrong, they move on to the next person.  If you are right, then that person (ie: Mary) moves over next to you and she is on your team.  She no longer gets to guess but she can help consult with you.  The hard part toward the end is remembering all the names in the hat that you haven't said yet.  It was a lot of fun!  I think we played 3 rounds.

At one point Scarlett said "My foot hurts.  I think it's scared of the dark cause it's dark inside my shoe."  haha!

I thought it was cute how my girls warmed up to their family while we were in UT (and it doesn't hurt if you're sitting next to a pile of chocolates.)

Everyone decided to photobomb my picture of the twirls.  The twirls were a bit confused.  Afterward I made everyone take photos with us (Scarlett was soooo tired and did NOT want to cooperate).

More photobombing...

I also have a picture that I was strictly forbidden to share of a dinner that Jake and I had at Carolyn's house where we got to meet her "friend" Matt.  I'm keeping to my word and not posting it here.  But just know that said picture exists ;-)
