UT: Jake Adventures

Jake is a very yellow personality.  He loves to have fun!  So while we were in Utah Jake made sure to schedule tons of adventures.

It's not an official Utah trip without lots o' dirt biking:

Jake took Scarlett on a "Wild" ride: (in a Wildcat)

One day Jake was helping hang a shelf, he jumped on a kitchen chair to reach it.  As he put his toe on the chair, it slipped off and he fell on the edge of the wood chair with his shin. After hearing a nasty cracking sound and having piercing pain I made him go to instacare for his own good. Anywho... his leg turned out to have a very serious contusion, which he was brave enough to refuse treatment for. He seriously just walked it off. What a man! (Please! for your own benefit DO NOT Google "contusion".)

Jake took us up Provo Canyon to see Bridal Veil Falls.  The girls loved feeding the fish.  We had many people ask us where we got our toddler leashes.

Tangled!

One morning Jake took each girl on a daddy-daughter date.  They loved having alone time with their daddy!  He took Siena to run around the mall.  Jaide went to Carl's Jr play place.  And Scarlett went mini-golfing.  She even hit a hole-in-one on the first hole!  Jake was so sick from eating treats all day with the girls!  haha!

Utah had some record-setting heat.  So one afternoon my mom took us to their church gym to run around in the air conditioning.

There were several tantrums...

This is just a random video showing how the girls just LOVED that remote control car, but NOT sharing it:

Jake loaded up the girls and we walked to the park:

Jake even planned some adventures just for me!  He did a great job holding clothes while I shopped!

We went and fed the ducks one evening.

We were walking back to the car and I turned around to see Jake walking the puppies.  They were crawling around in the rocks.

No trip is complete without Krispy Kreme Doughnuts.

This is totally random, but I thought it fit on a post about Jake.  When Grammy took Scarlett to the store one day, they walked in and saw this display.  Scarlett said "Look!  That's a full size Mustang!"  haha!

We went to the Bean Museum.  Jaide eventually got the courage to touch the animals (with one finger).

Some of the animal displays were a little more graphic than I was expecting!  But the girls didn't seem to mind.

They only had a problem if I asked them to all stand in a line and smile:

They had this tunnel for kids.  Scarlett came out and said "it's too scary for me in there."  So Jake and I took turns looking in.  Without my camera flash it's just a dark tunnel and red lights in the bear's eyes!  Yikes!
