Jake turned 32 this month. He started his bday by going to work. On his way to work his parents called from Russia to wish him happy birthday - making good use of that 40 minute commute. Once he got to work Jake didn't tell anyone it was his special day (we are very different in that respect). So while he was having a very average work day, I was at home with the girls trying to make it special for him.
We started by making art projects for daddy:
Then we cleaned the house:
When Jake got home we had BBQ pulled pork (homemade Whole30 sauce).
Then Jake wanted to go on a family bike ride:
We came back inside to sing to our bday boy and eat our Whole30 truffles.
Scarlett was so excited to give Jake her "mosaic art project."

Boxing?! Does somebody else in the family finally appreciate my taste in movies?! Rocky, Rocky II, Real Steel, Cinderella Man, Warrior?!
One of my friends boxes for fun and she's never all beat up after class. Jake should totally try it!!
Looks like a fun birthday - great job!!
