I've always heard "Happy Wife, Happy Life" but I really think it's "Happy Kids, No One Gets Hurt"! So we started my bday at the park to let the kids run around.
Afterward Laura invited everyone to her house for a big birthday pizza party for me!!! I was stressed out for her - there were tons of people there!! haha! It was crazy fun! She even had lots of veggies and fruit for me (I'm on a crazy diet right now - more about that in another post). During all the craziness I realized I couldn't find Siena. I saw the door out to the garage was open. I ran out there and found her crawling down the stairs into the garage - with the garage door open! YOWZERS! I scooped her up and told her how much she scared me - she looked at me and "Sorry" clear as day! It was so sweet. I almost forgot how upset I was. I promise I don't ignore my children, they are just fast little stinkers.
I know that clothes shopping seems like the last thing I would choose to do on my birthday, but the Sunday before we were driving to church and I realized that the shirt I was wearing was from NINTH GRADE! I really do hate shopping, but I hate it even more when I'm dragging my kids with me. As I started walking through Kohl's I kept thinking "what are the kids wearing these days?!" Am I that old?!? Thankfully Kohl's has something for everyone and I found a few new shirts (no, the outfit in this photo is not new).
Happy birthday to me! Jake spoiled me all day - diapers, dishes, bath time, all while I sat on couch reading my new copy of Mental Floss (thanks Grandma and Grandpa!) I got some wonderful presents - Doctor Who socks, Dalik cup, Halloween Banner, and other thoughtful things.
Love these little faces! Thank goodness I had so much help blowing out my candles or I may have passed out!
It was a wonderful bday and I'm looking forward to living up my last year in my twenties. Woot woot!
Oh, and in case you were feeling bad for me cause I didn't get a real bday cake (I know I was) Laura surprised me with a chocolate molten lava cake from Chilis on the day after my diet ended! YUM!!!!

Happy happy birthday!!! You are getting so OLD! :-)
That bike is super cute!! And we are kindred spirits when it comes to shopping. Most of my clothes are yoga pants from walmart and free shirts my husband gets at conferences....I just hate shopping SO MUCH. Especially with kids. So...I feel your pain. Let's see some pics of your new shirts!
I'm glad you ate a proper cake when your diet was done!
