So I know I've mentioned it before, but my girls are obsessed with airplanes. It doesn't matter where we are, if they hear a plane they will stop what they're doing and scan the sky until they lock onto their target. Then they point their little tiny finger up in the air and yell so that everyone else can share in this wonderful moment. Did I also mention that we live next to an airport? And that the planes fly low over our house? So this cute quirky pointing game they play occurs multiple times a day. haha! Luckily it's super adorable and I love staring at the planes with them (that might be the aerospace engineer in me). The airport we live by flies charter flights and commercial flights, but it has a lot of hobby planes, old school planes, turboprops, fighter jets, helicopters, etc. And they really do fly low and loud over our house sometimes. It makes for a fun family tradition. Look at their excitement:
This video captures their airplane game:
When we go on walks Scarlett asks whoever we see "Hey! What's your name?" haha! We've made lots of new friends with her sweet personality. Many are older neighbors, but a few are families with kids. One of our neighbors has 5 girls and I just found out they have 8 year old mo/mo twin girls!!! How awesome!!! We also have neighbors that live kiddy-corner behind us. They have 2 boys and my girls love to hang out with them. Often when we are on walks or playing in the backyard they will come join us. They are Vietnamese and the younger boy, Jaden, doesn't speak a ton of English, usually his older brother Karden will translate for him. But both boys know all our girls' names. Scarlett will hear them outside and say "I want to play with my friends!"
I love this little waddle-run:
Scarlett loves to be "nakey" aka just in her undies. So for the past month we've been telling her that if she wore clothes every day she would get a "Frozen Pedal Bike". Well she's been really good at getting dressed lately, so we finally went and got her bike.
My girls love to help dad put stuff together. Scarlett told Jake "Dad, let's watch a show where workers build stuff, like a guitar." She loves to learn how things work!!! So they were all about helping dad put together Scarlett's new bike.

My favorite is this picture on the left - look at Jake and the twirls in the background. bwahaha!!! Tantrums!!
We have had some wonderful weather. We went outside one day and Scarlett said "It's so beautiful outside today!" It was!!! So we all ate dinner on the deck.
Jake cooling the girls down with the hose:
Playing in the backyard.....
Jake added burlap to the ladder so the girls don't fall through.
Scarlett: "I like this show, Dad do you like this show?"
Dad: "I love this show."
Scarlett: "Do you like when you can hear it?"
Dad: "Yes..."
Scarlett: "Well, I couldn't hear it."
Oh snap!!! SASSY!!!!!!! I have no idea where she gets that!
Jake took the girls outside to play with the rocket launcher....
We love to go on walks....
Jaide playing peek-a-boo with me...
They love to stop and look at bugs...
About 4 houses down from us there are some ponds. We saw a white swan on one. Then on the way home we passed this yellow pole. I have no idea why, but the twirls went over to it and gave it a hug. haha!
Siena is obsessed with circles. So they like to stand on "circles" aka man hole covers. They often like to do little dances on them haha!
Siena was showing me how she can draw a circle with chalk:
I know this is blurry, but it's too cute not to share....

One last story, the other day Scarlett yelled out of the bathroom to me:
Scarlett: "I'm all done pooping! It was spiky and hurt my bum!"Silly me. Why didn't I think of that?!
Mom: "Can you try wiping your bum and I'll come and check you?"
Scarlett: "Uhm.. I only do that on Wednesdays, not Sundays!"

You should market the burlap as a safety feature. You'd be rich. And just so you know, nobody wipes on Sundays. It's against the law of Moses I think.
Oh my goodness you have such adorable girls! I can't believe how big the twirls are, and I love that Scarlett is a mini you!
And the pole thing - haha! We've hugged many a pole and I've never figured out why...
