Zabawa Zoo Baby Shower

My friend Rachel and I threw a baby shower for our friend Sara.  Sara and Matt decorated their baby nursery with a zoo theme, so we used that theme for their shower.  And since they both have wanted to join in the fun we decided to make it a family affair:

I made sooo many tiny hats for all the zoo animals!  I even made 2 batches of cupcakes while on a sugar-free diet without even licking my fingers!!!  *applause*

The real rock stars were my friends who brought this AMAZING food!!!!!!

The happy couple:

In addition to letting us take over her house, organizing everyone, and making a bunch of food; Rachel also came up with this darling activity - a onesie decorating station:

These prints are from their baby's room.  They are real baby animals - so sweet!

 Sara and baby Z!

My HOA lets people use this huge tent for events.  The weather was perfect that day!

Nate making his famous meats - soooo yummy!  Jake said "Are all baby showers like this?  Cause I think I've been missing out!"

 Me, Sara & Rachel:

I bought stuff for a kids craft to preoccupy kiddos.

My little animals.  Jake got the girls all ready and brought them over (since I was there early setting up).  He decided to be "funny" and put the green skirt on Siena.  Confusing!  Then Jaide fell asleep while Sam was giving her a ride on the swing.  She loves him!

I was snuggling baby James.  We couldn't find his blanket so Laura took off his car seat cover - instant swaddle!

Jaide's face was all covered in black -- I couldn't figure out what it was from.  Then that night we took a bunch of the balloons home.  The girls kept kissing and hugging them and the black ink was rubbing off on their skin.  So the black marks where from Jaide making out with a balloon!

They love those balloons!  I clipped them to their jammies.  I realized that they were going to last a while since I paid for high float but I was frustrated at all the ink marks they were making.  So I put the balloons in the bath tub and washed off the ink, then scrubbed them with clorox wipes.  Sometimes I think I spoil my girls too much... :-)

Sara's healthy baby boy was born just a few weeks ago.  I can't wait to snuggle his sweet face!!!!!  I already love him so much!!!!!

You are such a fun party planner and good friend!

Every time my boys pass their clothes down to each other I get super confused....especially with their coats. I always expect to see them in a certain color or outfit and when I see them from behind I get all confused about who is who. Hahaha! At least you have the excuse of your girls being identical...
