(I probably spent more time coming up with this title than writing the post. Priorities!)
We have a little "preschool" with our friends. It's just 4 kids - about all I can handle right now. We meet once a week and it's suuuper low key. We have a box of materials from a preschool Laura did last year to use as reference, but really each week we just focus on a letter from the alphabet and you can do whatever you want with the 2 hours.
I taught the first week. All the moms stayed in a different room with their littler kids - just to make sure their 3-4 yr olds could handle the preschool thing. It was a madhouse! 4 parents, 4 students, and 6 babies! Aye yai yai!
First day of school (no shoes cause it was at our house). She was watching her friends get out of their cars, she even did an excited dance!
I focused on the letter A. I took more pictures than I will in the future, just so I could write a post about school. This first game was they had to walk the letter "A", then hop, then crawl, then twirl, etc..
Lesson and story time. I was so impressed with how long they all payed attention. I was figuring like 5 minutes, but it was more like 20! We read Jake and the Neverland Pirates. Later that night Scarlett woke up screaming. I went in her room and through her tears she croaked "Captain Hook got my pizza!" poor thing! That sounds like a terrible nightmare indeed!
Eating Apples and using popcorn to fill in the letter A outlines. I put the twirls in their high chairs to eat a snack too. Scarlett looked at them all confused then asked me: "Huh? The babes are in high school too?" haha!
Craft time. Every time I took a picture Blake would tell me "good job Jenni."
Showing how the puppet says "aaaaahhhhh" for the letter A sound!
Little Kyla told her mom about preschool and she called me "the teacher with pink hair."
The babes found my example puppet. It didn't last long... paper bag counts as a good source of fiber, right?
Today was our first time dropping Scarlett off for school. I took the twirls home and let them play with all of Scarlett's special toys that they never get to touch! I think I was more excited about it then they were. I told my mom about it and she said she did the same thing with Jami and James. I started laughing with her until I realized they were playing with my stuff back then!

I'm reading this as I sit at preschool waiting for class 2 to arrive. So fun! You sure crammed a lot into your two hours!
Holy cow look at you go! I had tons of ideas and good intentions, but about 5 minutes in we always devolved to crying and I would throw my hands up and we'd just goof around instead.
