Over the past few weeks I've been researching "traveling with kids" on Pinterest. We had a 3 day road trip with 3 kids, 2 of which were rear facing. I knew that would require lots of planning. During my studies I came across this PeaPod Plus Travel Bed. I mentioned it to Jake - expecting him to talk me out of this expensive purchase - but he loved the idea! We went to Buy Buy Baby and bought them that week. There are two sizes, we got the bigger size cause Jake thought the smaller tent would be too claustrophobic for the twirls.
I'm not sure who came up with the great idea to break in the tents, but about three weeks before our trip we started putting the twirls in their tents for nap time. The first few days they would crrryyyy and ccccrrryyy til they fell asleep. But after a week they went right to sleep!
Last week we finally took them on the road and put them to the test! The tents have a small padded mat, but since the carpet was so hard in the hotels we used blankets under them for extra comfort.
All of the Glauser gals fit in ONE TENT!!!
They fit inside our duffle bag and Scarlett can even carry both of them!
In the past 12 days the twirls have slept in 6 different rooms - and each night they've fallen asleep like champs!!! I think the familiar smell/feel/look of the tent (in addition to bringing their sound machine) made a huge difference. Plus with the flaps down they really can't tell they're in a new room. I'm so glad we found these, it's changed my attitude about traveling. Well rested, happy babies make a well rested, happy mommy! :-)

Those are FANTSTIC! What a cool find!
That is so amazing!!!! With all the chaos of traveling, it must be so nice for the girls to have a familiar place for sleeping.
