James & Hailey's Wedding - April 30

Hailey asked me to do her hair for her wedding several weeks ago.  I tried to talk her out of it since I wouldn't have much time to practice/I haven't done an updo in a long time/I've never actually seen her in person before... but James kept talking up my "skills."  Before we drove to UT I practiced updos on Ashley (her hair is similar to Hailey's).  The day of her wedding I arrived early to do her hair (I was extra early - didn't want a repeat of Snort's fiasco!)  Her big sis did her makeup and I did this updo (she sent me pictures of what she wanted and we were able to practice it once before).  She found the pearl idea on Pinterest - LOVE!  I'm happy with how it turned out and it stayed up all day despite the crazy wind and taking her veil in/out several times.

The wedding ceremony was so sweet.  Every time I caught James's eye he would give his sisters a little smile.  It was weird to see him - not as my little brother - but as a grown man, embarking on this wonderful journey with his best friend Hailey.

We waited for the happy couple outside the temple.  The wind was INSANE!  But we passed the time by taking lots of photos.  Snort's sweet Kate was such a trooper!
Jake and Liz were joking that you had to have a graduate degree to stand by them, then they both pulled their mini diplomas out of their wallets!!!  What NERDS!  And guess what I was thinking the whole time... I wish I had a mini diploma in my wallet!
James and Hailey exited the temple as husband and wife:
More fun pictures!  We are looking at the photographer, but they won't get those photos for at least another month, so these are fun previews into their special day.  Thanks Liz for snapping a million photos!!! :-)

Posing with Liz.  Jake jumped in Jami's wheelchair (typical!) and challenged Grandpa Seaver to a race!

Their reception that night was so much fun!  They even has Coldstone cater!  Scarlett felt so special that she matched the "beautiful princess" and got to hold flowers.
The babies enjoyed hanging out with a bunch of people.  But at the end of the reception I picked up Jaide, she pulled her head back and stared and my face for a second, then buried her face on my chest and just rested there for awhile.  I think at the end of the night they were glad to be back in their little green tents.
Grandpa Hanna & Mom G on bottle duty...
Foreshadowing???  ;-)

The happy couple danced out on the patio despite the gale force wind.  I was so surprised to see Scarlett dancing so much.  Well... not the surprised (the apple doesn't fall far from the tree).  She kept telling me "I was to go dance!"
Scarlett rockin out with Parker & Liz:

I remember at Snort's wedding I stood and Jake's feet and slow danced.  I think he's probably grateful to have Scarlett standing on his toes rather than his wife!

Scarlett and Parker were sooooooooooo cute together (more in coming posts).  Seriously - they were adorable.  Jake captured the moment right when Snort told them to kiss - totes adorbes!!!
