Babies Shower

I had the most fantastic day!!!  My WONDERFUL friends threw me a babies shower!  I love our ward!  I'm so grateful for the church and the instant ward family you have wherever you go.  It made leaving our family for Connecticut and now Michigan a bearable transition.  I know that there is a huge support network of amazing ladies I can call if I need anything.  And trust me... I'll be calling them a lot in the near future!  :-)

We had the most scrumptious fresh food and delectable treats!  All nut free :-)  Jake and Scarlett were excited when I brought home leftovers!

I am so impressed with all the amazing sewing skills these ladies have!  I can't even remember the last time I touched a sewing machine, let alone made anything with one.  They made: matching zebra dresses (her husband picked out the fabric - great choice!), baby blankets (4 of them!), burp cloths, bibs, identical car seat covers (you will see those a lot in future posts I'm guessing), and a 360deg nursing cover (that could double as a skirt someday!)  It was so fun to see all the little outfits and much-needed supplies (diapers, soap, etc).  Scarlett even got a new doll!  <3 p="">

These are my wonderful MI besties: Laura and Jamie!  Jamie is even an identical twin!  How fun!

Note: I just recently got my hair cut - I realize that it's super short and normally I wouldn't care... but with my cheek bones rapidly disappearing it might not have been the best decision at this time...  oh well.  Luckily pregnancy has made my hair grow super fast!

Random Story: yesterday while waiting for my NST (which went great, except the girls kicked the monitors off for ten min before settling down enough to get started, and I had 3 contractions during that time...) I was reading my Twins 101 book in the OB waiting room.  The girls started going crazy: kicking, rolling, punching me.  My belly was all over the place.  There was a lady on the other side of the room who probably read the title of my book and figured I was having twins cause she looked at me, astonished, and said "I can see them moving from all the way over here!"  haha!

How sweet! So glad you have lots of wonderful ladies out there to help you out.

And I'm going to need to see some video of those crazy babies in action, just FYI... If someone can see them across a room, I need to see that, too.

Yay! I'm so glad you've got a network of people there to love you and take care of you. :-)

And PLEASE take some video of that wiggly belly! :-)

:) I agree--so glad that you have great friends, with sewing talent too! Glad you had a fun day.

Your hair looks great & your cheek bones are lovely! You look better pregnant with twins than at least 85% of the population does NOT pregnant...just sayin'-- you are looking awesome!

Yep, good friends are key to feeling at home wherever you settle. I'm glad you've found them in Michigan.
