So I finally passed the 34 week mark (aka: they would deliver the babies if my body went into labor). My c-section is 3 weeks from today. I am soooooooooooooo uncomfortable, I can't imagine another 3 weeks. With each baby gaining ~.5 lbs/week = 3 more pounds!!! My belly is sooo tight. It is rock hard solid with baby parts. My ultrasound today actually hurt cause there's no give when they push on my belly. They only looked at fluid levels and heart rates today. Both girls are doing great. The ultrasound showed them both head down. Baby A is further in my pelvis, but we were able to see the top of Baby B's head - she has lots of hair!!!
Despite all my complaining, I really am grateful that they are still inside and growing well. I keep forgetting that May 13th isn't full term. They will still need steroids for their lungs at 37 weeks... so each day inside my womb is a blessing. I am really trying to focus on that.
It hurts so bad when I stand up - so much weight - like a bowling ball falling on my pelvis with each step. And now that they have reached my ribs they've started moving more horizontal. Baby B especially likes to poke her arms around my sides. Weird! And they are getting pretty good at kicking my stomach and making me throw up - lovely.
During my NSTs I have been having regular contractions - but I can't feel them or they're not too intense. In the evenings I usually have 3-4 real contractions but that's it. My NST on Friday showed Baby B's heart rate was really high. But the average was just on the edge of normal and the big accels were when she was kicking. The OB said everything was fine we just caught her in a very active mood.
I've been trying to get them moving around on film. So far I've only been able to catch one baby at a time in an active mood. This is Baby A (left side) when she's awake. The video doesn't show the full effect very well. But I'll keep trying to get a video of them both.

holy cow they are movin' and grovin' in your belly!
I'm impressed you can actually tell which one is moving and when. Just think, May 10 is even closer than May 13. Seems like a good day to deliver. Or how about Mother's Day? Eh?
Wow. You weren't kidding about being able to see them move around!! And to think of that video times two- I so wish I could see that in person!
Wow, makes my tummy hurt just to watch! We love you so much and are so glad the babies are doing well! Love you lots Grandma
It's like the movie Alien. Any moment now, something is going to come busting outta your stomach!!!
Love it!
Glad the babies are getting nice and ready for life on the outside. Hang in there! You're rocking it!
Wow---I forgot how cool that is to see babies actively moving inside you. This is going to be great! Can't wait to see them with all their hair. If one has hair & they are identical, then the other must be the same. Hang in there.
Love, Mom G
Love it! But it made me remember how uncomfortable it is at the end of pregnancy - and I never had two in there at the same time! Poor Jenni! Hang in there - just a little bit longer and they'll be here. :-)
Thank you!! I LOVE the videos!!! I remember with my twins, Katelyn (who was lower), was always so much "meaner" to me then Natalie was. She would press her legs out as straight as she could. It was SO painful, BUT it was so much fun to see her do that same thing with her legs once she was born. I love that you can see their little personalities even when they have yet to be born! Good luck! You are almost there!
Oh, that's one of the weirdest things I've ever seen!
Now that we know they have hair it explains all the movement. One of them just gets their hair done and the other is trying to mess it up. Sibling jealousy starts so young- who knew?
Considering that you're already exposing them to brainy kids' shows, they're probably in there holding a spelling bee or typing away on a tablet.
