December Fun

So my laptop gave up the ghost.  I think that Windows 10 actually murdered it... but I don't want to get into that right now.  I used it for my video presentation for the YW Christmas Lesson then the next time I went to use it, it wouldn't turn on.  I am grateful that it worked through my lesson *tender mercy* but now that I don't have a laptop my blogging efficiency has gone downhill (can you tell?)  So this week I'm making an effort to get on top of it and I'm also debating if I need another laptop or if I'm going to spend more time locked in the office on the desktop...

So to begin catching up, here are some photos from December:

The girls and I in our natural state...

They all love to cuddle: at the same time.  I'm running out of body space - not sure where baby girl #4 is going to go!

I helped the girls make cotton ball snowmen.  I put two photos of Siena's cause I wanted you to see the face she drew - I made the outline and she made the face.  I was so impressed with her art skills!  They all cut out the noses and glued their own snowmen - so fun to see them work so diligently and be so proud of their accomplishment.

Siena started drawing on her skin with a marker and, like the great mother that I am, I decided to film her before taking the marker away.  But she was just being so cute!  I love her little song too!

Often when one twirl gets sent to a corner for "time out" her twin will join her.  This particular moment Jaide had pulled Scarlett's hair so I sent her to time out and Siena yelled "I do!" and put herself in another corner.  She even joined Jaide in telling Scarlett "sorry" and giving her a kiss.  Haha!  Twins....

I just love this little video of the twirls playing doctor on the big puppy...

Lunch time with dad and playing g-g-g-ghost!

These girls love their yee haw hats:

Cold weather, pregnancy, snow, etc have all contributed to our being inside a lot lately.  Scarlett just wants so badly to go play at the park.  One day she told me "I like when you joke that we're not going to the park, but then we do go to the park."  haha!

More Scarlett quotes....

  • Her fave word this month: ridiculous (more like ridikulus)
  • One day I helped a little boy in our ward with his math homework, the next day Scarlett told Jake: "That boy yesterday was named trailer?" (Jake: no, Taylor.) "He's a nice boy and I like him and I want to marry him when I'm a mommy." (Jake: He's nice, why do you say that?) "Because he came and he was a good worker and he was good at listening and obeying so he was a good boy and he needs to marry me."
  • Me: "The basement ceiling is lower than in the kitchen."  Scarlett: "Oh, that actually explains a few things."  haha!  Me: "Like what?"  Scarlett: "Balloons."  Oh, duh...
  • I was gone at YW while Jake put the girls to bed one night.  Around 3am I woke up to Scarlett kissing my forehead, then she left and went back to bed.  She just needed to kiss her mommy good night.  Sweet!
Marble time and digging a rock out of compressed sand with little tools:

Scarlett leading her little rainbows in a dance and playing train with the chairs...

Who said little boys are the only kids who like to wrestle?

All squished in the tent tunnel...

Lastly, my parents sent me a photo of my Grandpa Seaver's headstone that was recently put into place.  Earlier this summer my Grandma brought her headstone book over for us to help her look through.  Since I enjoy digital design, I pulled out my laptop and made several different quick mock ups for her.  We looked at all different ideas and did some internet research.  She wanted the Arizona temple on there along with her children's names.  I thought it would be fun to add a quote from each of them so that people could get a sense of their personalities.  The tractor cause my Grandpa was a farmer and the forget-me-nots are my Grandma's favorite flower.  We sent out several versions to my aunts and uncles - so that they could help choose things that seemed right to them.  This was the final mock up they voted on and the actual headstone.  I think that it turned out lovely and it tells a little bit about their lives together.

I'm glad it is computer problems holding you back and not something worse!

The headstone turned out great - and it really does reflect their personalities! Great work!

Good heavens Scarlett has just gotten suddenly much bigger! Or is it just me? She seems like she has grown a bunch. :-)

Love the pic of y'all piled up on the couch together. I used to wonder why we bothered to have more than just one rocking chair, because we always always sat all of us together in the one chair.

Loved all the pictures no clothes and all.
The videos were so fun!
I think Phoebe Buffay may sue for plagiarism- Stinky Apple Kitty sounds a lot like Smelly Cat...
