I haven't been posting about this pregnancy much, mostly cause I don't love the way I feel pregnant and I have noticed that pregnancy gives me the swears (it takes all my energy to not swear in front of my children).
November 14 and 15 (15 weeks along):
- Getting dressed at 4 months prego is so depressing!!!! Too chubby for normal clothes, too small to look pregnant
- I'm feeling huge!
- Nausea and exhaustion haven't gone away
- Scarlett likes to tell strangers: "My mom just keeps making babies.. Forever!" haha!
- Babies are like toots, better out than in
- Feeling movement - is it baby? Then a little toot sneaks out, realize it's just gas
- A full belly makes my tummy poke out way far!
December 27 (21 weeks along):
- Nausea not always bad. Only need Zofran ~3x/week
- I'm sick if I have an empty tummy and I'm sick if I eat too much - so hard to win!
- My skin is struggling, lots of eczema and just blotchy
- My bones feel loose, I notice it the most in the morning in my hands - like if I were to clench too hard my fingers would dislocate
- My feet are killing me - they don't like this extra weight! I wore "cute shoes" aka heels and got terrible plantar fasciitis. No more fancy feet for this prego girl!
- Now at the point where I find crumbs on my belly at night (midnight snack!)
- Baby girl likes to practice karate on my bladder. She's so strong, Jake can feel her kicking!
I took Scarlett to the OBGYN for a check up and Dr. Bernardoni let Scarlett do the heart rate monitor. So fun!
The next time I had a check up I ended up bringing all my girls. They were awesome! I had these little Paw Patrol coloring packs from Jamie Bingham that they loved. The twirls were just happy to stay in the wagon, they wouldn't even let me take their coats off. I think they thought that they were safe from the doctor in there! I was even able to get my blood drawn after - little champs!
I wore my skeleton shirt to my appointment, the baby skeleton has it's arm up and the twirls kept giving her a high-five! haha!
At my next checkup I was measuring 24cm (at 22 weeks). Dr. B said my weight gain was.. "ok". haha! I've been so sick that I'm just trying to survive. Weight gain/loss isn't even on my radar right now! Dr. B told me that every pregnancy is different and that there's no way to know if/when the nausea will leave completely. I will say though that this pregnancy is making 4 kids seem like the perfect number for our family! ;-) She told me the first day she could schedule my c-section was May 2 (the twirls bday!) I would love to get baby girl out ASAP but I don't want 3 kids bdays on the same day. So I asked what the last day she could schedule it - May 6. So we are scheduled for that morning. I hope that I go into labor in April. She said after 34 weeks (March 27) if I go into labor they will just do the c-section, so let's all pray for April - maybe April 1st so she can be bday buddies with Liz!
January 17 (24 weeks along): The twirls were sick, so they stayed home from church with Jake.
Last week I went to the CS Mott's Children Hospital at the University of Michigan for a Fetal Echocardiogram. Since Scarlett was born with a heart defect I have to have all my kids checked out. They won't see minor defects (like Scarlett had) but they want to make sure there's not a larger hole that would require early intervention. When I had the twirls' Fetal Echocardiograms everything was normal. This time was also normal. Baby Girl kept turning her back to the machine (can't see the heart through the spine) and my placenta is on the front of my belly so they have to look through that as well, which is more difficult. But after 45 min they eventually got all the data they needed to confidently say everything looked fantastic. Happy hearts!

Such a milestone that the twirls can just sit and be happy for long stretches of time. You look darling pregnant.
YAY for the girls behaving at your appointment. So nice when they cooperate!
Pregnancy is SO HARD on the body - now I look at my mom and wonder how in the heck did she have SEVEN?? Crazy. My third pregnancy was rough....I knew I was done. Sorry you're still feeling sick - that is sure the pits.
YAY for healthy hearts and happy hearts!
