We're so glad when daddy comes home [for Christmas break]

Over Christmas break Jake spent a lot of time teaching the girls how to use his remote control cars.  Those little girls just go crazy when they see that car!

Jake brought Scarlett's orange Strider bike inside so she could ride around.  After a few laps, this was their conversation:
Scarlett: "Why doesn't my bike have handles that turn?"
Jake: "Cause they're not supposed to."
Scarlett: "But Handy Manny's motorcycle has a handle that turns."
Jake looked at Scarlett and I literally saw love and pride pouring out of his eyes!  Later that night he started telling me all the reasons why it's good to start dirt bikes when they are 3 years old.  That's my Jakey!

The girls had so much fun with dad home, I think they wore him out!

These girls like to snuggle!

Jake tied their bikes together.  It was all fun and games til they started tipping over!  Then it was mostly just tears.

It was fun to have Jami here taking pictures and video of the girls.  She caught some fun moments that I wouldn't have.  Like this video when we discovered Baby Ice Skating:

Jake and I were pushing the girls around in the strollers (the poor little plastic wheels were barely hanging on!)  The best part was when the girls started pushing each other!  I love this video:

These are their Christmas dresses (thanks Aunt Jami!)

This video is a random family dance party.  It captures one of our favorite activites.  We dance together several times a day.  The girls just LOVE dancing.  And I guess I do too (especially since I often find myself dancing solo in front of the girls while they are eating dinner or taking a bath... thank goodness the curtains are closed!)  But it's not just the girls.  Jake likes rocking out with us too! (per our marriage agreement, addendum C, I cannot video tape him dancing without prior written consent.  So you'll just have to use your imagination!)

I was watching the stroller video and Meg came over and said, "Look, it's walking by itself!" Then she said, "I really like the name Sienna, don't you?" Also, consider yourself lucky, our marriage contract states that I can not expect my husband to ever dance, no matter what, even if it meant early retirement or life saving measures. Of course, I had scuba certification for him in the contract and he hasn't upheld that, so maybe I can force him to take me dancing. Heh heh heh.

For a man that likes water, I would think he would be all about scuba. Have you two already snorkeled?

Fun fun fun! That is the best part of Christmas, for me, to have us all home together. :-)
