Look - we're already to Christmas! My goals of catching up on my blog might actually happen!!!
Since Ribbon and Coco left us a "Plan" (aka to do list) we had lots of work to do on Christmas Eve. We painted nails, colored pictures, gave everyone kisses/hugs, and all the other items that the hyper frogs thought of (thanks Jami).
We made a gingerbread house:
We baked cake cookies with mint cream cheese frosting and Christmas "crack". Then we had a gourmet dinner of pigs in a blanket and tater tots. Jake wanted to try making a "tot waffle". I think it would have worked better if we microwaved the tots first.
We made snowflakes and played Candyland (with our modified rules - as you can see)
The girls loved watching the fire while we read stories.
We told the nativity using this kit that Christy sent us one year. Scarlett told us "Angels like to play Frisbee." "Why do you think that?" "Cause they wear them on their heads."
Siena kept hiding in the curtains while low-riding her jammie pants like a gangsta!
After bath time we all opened our new jammies. Then Scarlett organized the girls into run races. They love racing! Oh my goodness! It's hilarious!
This is the video of the races (don't judge my piles of clean laundry - hey, at least it's clean!)
More fun toys. I love Scarlett's tongue sticking out while she's concentrating. She asked Jami "Why are houses sometimes by construction sites?" That was such a random question, so Jami asked her why she thought that. She said "Aunt Jami has one at her house and Grumple has a machine... And a dump truck!" hahahahaha! Grumple, your backyard of dirt and heavy duty equipment has made a lasting impression on Scarlett!
More stuff to push around. And Scarlett FINALLY got to eat the gingerbread house - sans hands! She had to wait a whole 21 hours... agony!
Jake practiced using his strong man weight pulling harness. He started by pulling a lawn mower, ya know, like the professionals do. His real goal is to pull the girls around on the sled in our backyard.
Even Marshall got a present - a collar! Scarlett told me a few weeks before Christmas "oh no, if Marshall gets lost no one will know where his home is!" So she kept making collars for him/her (gender changes frequently - ouch! poor Marshall!) out of glow sticks. At one point there were so many glow sticks on his neck that he looked like he was trying to stretch his neck like those African women do! So Marshall finally got a collar!
We spent Christmas day laying around watching movies, eating junk, taking naps, and playing with our new toys (Jake got a Chrome book and I got some photography stuff). We got to video chat with Jake's parent's in Russia! We also video chatted our families in Utah. Thank goodness for technology!!!!!!!!!!

Looks like a wonderful Christmas! I loved our Christmases back when our kids were little - they didn't necessarily remember that it was Christmas, so I'd feed them breakfast while JC slept in and we wouldn't get to presents until lunch time.
And you're beating me...I still haven't blogged about November. Go Jenni!!
