Scarlett - A Big Sister

The first time Scarlett saw Jaide (Siena was in the NICU) she said "oh, cute baby!"

We unwrapped Jaide and helped Scarlett hold her.  She touched Jaide's hand and said "tiny hand!"  Then she looked down at her own hand for a second then said "big hand!"  It's like all of the sudden she realized she was a big girl.  She did the same thing with her feet.

She has been so loving to the babies.  She pats them softly on the tummy and tickles their arms.  She loves to peek on them in their cribs.  I'm so glad that her initial reaction has been so loving.  Hopefully she will continue to love them.

One morning when I was getting them in their carseats to go to the Dr. Scarlett carried their binkies for me.  Then she said "open wide" to the baby and put it in their mouths.  How cute!

I have been trying really hard to spend extra time with her.  I can tell she misses me sometimes when she just wants to sit on my lap and cuddle.  I love my big girl!

Scarlett moved this box over to their crib all on her own!  ADORABLE!!!

So loving and sweet!

Those girls are all lucky to have each other--sisters are wonderful!

You may have to remind them of that though when they hit middle school...
