Bewitched and Bedazzled

I L-O-V-E LOVE HALLOWEEN!!!

Not the gory, evil, satanic, freaky, weird stuff... but the creative, funny, costumey, silly stuff (Jake can confirm that I do NOT do scary). I love coming up with unique things that no one else thought of. Plus October is the best month: you get to unpack all your winter clothes, it's not snowing, the trees are beautiful, the air is crisp, pumpkin cookies, soup, Courtney's birthday... need I say more???

I decorated my table to start the month of right. I bought spiders and rubber cockroaches. I filled an old spice rack with colored water and used a bunch of glass jars that I got from DI. Plus we put up spooky window clings and a purple porch light.

Scarlett has been wearing costumes for PJs all month. She has black skeleton PJs, pink skeleton PJs, ladybug PJs, and a bunch of Halloween hand-me-down shirts that are so fun! This is her scary face:

I thought it was a good time of year to wear my Pink Power Ranger's shirt. I like this picture just because Scarlett is doing karate moves with me!

One of our CT friends just moved to Utah. She invited me to a witch themed dinner party. I even found a little tiny hat for Scarlett to wear! (weird that I had everything besides the tiny hat in my closet)

One evening last week Jake, Jami and I decorated pumpkins. We decided to spray paint this year rather than carve. Even though we were outside, I think the fumes may have gotten to Jake...

Here are our pumpkins (yes, some of them are bedazzled):

And Jake's ghost glows in the dark!!!

Jake is so patient with me and my eccentric love for this silly holiday. He has taken me to DI, Savers, Taylor Maid, Halloween Town, and many other places. He listens so attentively when I talk about all the little details I'm adding to our costumes. I'm so lucky to have him as my BF and hubby! (and I can't wait to show you our costumes next week!)

Hurrah for Halloween!

Too cute! Can't wait to see what you all wear on the big day!

I'm not a big Halloween person myself, but Scarlett looks so stinking cute!

I love your enthusiasm for Halloween. I love the pumpkins you decorated, as I am the lucky one that gets to display them on my porch.
