Skye Turns 2

Right after the Twirls birthday is Skye's.  Since she turned 2 on a Sunday morning, we turned her car seat forward facing then drove to church.  She was excited and thrilled to see out the window.

During Sacrament meeting Skye was singing "lullabye my little baby" really loud.  I finally decided to take her out so she wasn't distracting from the meeting.  Since it was her birthday I decided to just take her out in the courtyard to run around rather that make her be quiet on my lap.  She has so animated and silly!  I love this dress that Grammy found for her birthday.  I love how when she jumps all the ruffles fly up!  I love her cute little curls and how she was just so excited about everything!

We came home from church and everyone took a nap, except me.  While everyone was sleeping I was able to clean and set up for Skye's birthday party.  We invited some of our "framily" over that evening for a little party.  While I was setting up, I was moving our couch and my foot slipped.  I dropped the frame of the couch on my ankle.  I thought I broke it, but thankfully it just was a huge goose egg.

For Skye's party I was trying to think of a theme.  Then I decided the theme would be: Skye's Favorite Things.  It was a mix of all things that she loves: playing outside, the moon, Peppa Pig, Hey Duggee, stuffed animals, toy cars, airplanes, cookies, jewelry, chapstick, squeezies, books, wiggle cars, bubbles, music, and HUMMUS!  Here is her party.  And some photos of Skye eating hummus and pita chips aka her: "dip dip and chips".

Here's a little video of her eating hummus.  I just think it's so funny that her favorite food (besides squeezies) is hummus!

Here's the birthday girl.  I found a Paw Patrol Shirt that wasn't super puppy, and it says "Skye" big on it!  Winning!  She makes the best faces!

Here's a video of Skye yelling Birthday!  I think when we put the hat on her head she really understood that it was her birthday.  It's funny though, every time she sings happy birthday it's to "Scarlett".  haha!

One of the ideas we got from another birthday party, was a room full of balloons.  We used the baby gate to hold them in the toy room.  Then Jake used his air compressor to fill up a bunch of balloons.  The kids LOVED the balloon room.  And (thankfully) there were no injuries.

Skye's not really into cake.  So we did cookies for her bday.  While we ate, I turned on an episode of Hey Duggee for the kids.  Skye went over and sat on Mr. Steve's lap.  It was unexpected and so cute!

I told you how Skye loves music and to sing songs.  Well, I was able to capture her singing a few of her favorites.  So here are several videos of Skye singing and a few extra videos of our sweet little Skye....
