My girls have entered a new phase: the monster truck phase. They have little monster trucks that we bought Jake for Father's Day. I cannot tell you how many nights we have had to run around the house and find their trucks before they can fall asleep. Just like stuffed animals, they have to have them at night. When I sit on the couch I can hear them driving them all over their beds and walls while they try and fall asleep.
What initiated this phase you may ask? It's one of our new favorite shows: Blaze and the Monster Machines. It's all about Engineering! At night the girls often request we sing the theme song! Let's Blaze!
Here Siena is playing with her trucks while Jaide serenades her with the Blaze theme song:

So for Valentine's Day we decided to give the girls some Blaze monster trucks to enjoy. They were soooo excited!
Siena naming all the characters from the show: I love how they say "Pickle" and how they always say "Blaze and the Monster Machines" instead of just "Blaze".
My only bone to pick with Blaze is that the box set of monster trucks includes all the main characters EXCEPT Starla, the only girl monster truck. I had to buy her separately. A little weird considering she's just as much a part of the team as Zeg or Stripes. Ugh. But I do like that on the show the mechanic is a girl named Gaby with purple hair!
I'm not really into Valentine's Day, but I'm a sucker for holidays in general... so we HAD to celebrate. Heart pizza from Pizza Hut, heart braids, and even a singing pig card:

And no holiday is complete without a good bonk on the noggin! Poor Jaide wasn't paying attention to where she was going and went full speed into a corner. Poor thing!
